NFL Week 1 - some great games rather than the expected slop

I fully expected NFL week 1 to be full of bad play and sloppy games with things just a bit out of sync for everyone ... I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of play overall and especially the hitting by defenses

so I guess they really didn't need pre-season games to be prepared

most notable person not quite in sync was Tom Brady ... he threw a couple of bad interceptions ... and the Bucs special teams contributed by forgetting how to field kicks ... so the marquee Brees vs Brady matchup was less than anticipated

but overall, I'd say week 1 was some real good football

Most games I watched had not so much sloppiness but just miscommunications and minor items that show along with you could see teams gassed early.
