I would have thought kickers would have had the easiest time preparing for the season ... instead, for whatever reason, week 1 was an abomination for placekickers and punters ... Pat McAfee had a nice rant about this on his show
Gostkowski had a nightmare week 1 with his new team ... the doofus for the Bengals blowing a 20 yarder for overtime and then grabbing his leg as if he were hurt (I don't buy it)
week 1 was a mess for kickers and there is no obvious reason as to why
wtf is up with NFL kickers?

Didnt listen to his rant . I do agree with the thought that kickers above all else are on an island and nothing should have affected them in regards to being able to kick other than timing with the snap and holder

Losing games like that might be a blessing in disguise for a team like the Bengals
They are not contending for anything this year - they just want to see good things out of Joe Burrow - Lose close games get a great draft pick and spend in FA (might be a very good year to do that)
The Rookie QB contract is a cheat code
