Ex-Bears quarterback Rex Grossman out 4-5 weeks for Texans

HOUSTON - Houston's Rex Grossman is expected to miss about a month with a hamstring injury and the Texans are looking to sign another quarterback to fill in until he's healthy.
Grossman, Houston's third quarterback and the former Bears starter, was injured in Saturday's win over the Chiefs and coach Gary Kubiak says he doesn't feel comfortable finishing the preseason with only Matt Schaub and backup Dan Orlovsky.
Kubiak says the Texans could bring back Alex Brink, who was with the team last season.
Also injured Saturday were safety Troy Nolan, a rookie seventh-round pick, who will have surgery to repair a broken hand on Monday and fullback Boomer Grigsby who is expected to be out six weeks with a high ankle sprain.

Why would they bother keeping him is my inquiry. The guy's out for the month, you have another guy in brink you could sign who probably already knows the offense and is in better shape...but this IS the texans we're talking about.

so, I'm guessing Rex actually injured his hammy making a sharp turn towards the fresh pudding bowl on the buffet line? Margaret, the pudding provider, is the real culprit ... her alluring swirls of pudding, placed in the bowl just so, were simply too much for el Lardo
