Really not a fan of the multiple forums, everything outside the main forum is an afterthought and gets buried/under discussed. Particularly in the off season. Anywho.....what a massive move this is. JJ Watt (who I thought was finished as a broken down player) just had a great season. And how in the hell are they selling this to Watson? I mean, how can Watson go back to that team when they are clearly tearing down the building around him? Starting from Hopkins to now, nothing they have done makes any sense at all to me. And yet, Watson still led the league in passing last year. I really, really wish Pace would make a dramatic move here.

Have to talk about it ... he clearly has shown a strong affection for the City of Chicago and his wife plays professional soccer here for the Chicago Red Stars.
I don't think it could work with Quinn and his bloated salary on the roster, but is a fun conversation.

If there's one thing the Bears don't have enough of its old DE.

I'd like a shot at him but no way we can work him in under the cap.

Disagree but not my place, no biggie. You can see the vast difference in chatter on any non-main forum. Net negative trade off for the few threads that get “organized” off the main board. There’s an old saying about too much organizing making a mess, something like that, I had it written down somewhere if only I could find it.

Trade for Quinn. Fresh start for both of them - I'm down with that. Otherwise no aging defenders again ever.

The Texans may be the one team in the league dumb enough to take Quinn off our hands, that would be epic. Quinn for Watson straight up!

If this was Watt 5 years ago, I'd say hell to the yeah. As of now he's gonna get paid like he's 5 years younger even though he'll give you Watt of today, and the Bears can't do that. They've got enough of a similar problem with Robert Quinn's underperforming ass.

This.
If anything the Bears need to be cutting some Defenders and filling those holes with vet min guys or rookies. Hicks immediately comes to mind. Time for the offense to be the side of the ball the money goes to.

Totally agree. The draft needs to be slanted heavily towards the offense this year.HurricaneBear wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 1:27 pmThis.

2 year deal with the Cardinals. $31 million with $23 guaranteed.
Hopkins, now Watts. Do they package Murray and pick to get Watson????
Don't see that, but they could decide that Watson's contract in 2 years would be cheap compared to what they will have to pay Murray.

Really had no interest in him other than if he happened to have positive impact on Watson. As a player he’s still good but very expensive and gets hurt a lot.

Um...ok.
Did not see that kind of contract coming at all.
Did they not notice 2016, 2017, 2019, or 2020?
