That's my guess. I don't think anyone expected SF to take him.BearButtseks wrote: ... Or were they afraid of someone else trading with SF for him? ...

Well, here is a guy to develop a year with glennon at the helm. If glennon pans out then you have trade bait, if he doesn't you cut him and you have trubisky.

Hate it. Hate everything about it. Hate the trade. Hate the pick. Pace just put his current, and ability to obtain any future, job on MITCHELL Trubisky's shoulders. What the actual fuck...

Switching from beer to whiskey earlier than planned. Just Bears fan things.
At least he gets a chance to play for his future here, and get paid doing it. I pray he becomes a stop gap because that means possibly the Chicago Bears have a fucking QB!RING4CHI wrote:Glennon has to love being a stop gap.

I'm pretty shocked by this ... and depressed that it seems rookie GM John Lynch has more on the ball than Bears GM Ryan Pace
49ers move down 1 spot, collect a few more draft picks, and end up with the guy they were going to draft anyway
the Bears move up 1 spot, overpay to do so, and to get a guy who has 1 season of college experience and will need to be nurtured and developed, something the Bears as a franchise have shown a marked inability to be able to do

Pace's strategy of signing free agents who play positions that are supposedly deep in the draft is making sense now.
If you trade the farm to move up one spot, you're not going to be drafting those players.

Guys, read this. It will make you feel a little better.

The Bears traded up because if they wanted Trubisky, the needed to trade up. The reason the 9ers picked the Bears for the trade is because it allowed them to still draft who they wanted. If the Bears didn't make this move, they don't get to draft who they obviously wanted.

John Lynch just buttfucked Ryan Pace. Ryan Pace just turned around and buttfucked the Bears.
He analyzes every play of every QB every year. He puts together a yearly stat book with any stat you can ever imagine. The Bears will have a 3rd round pick again before Bisquits plays. Ugh.

Pace just got smashed by a guy who was commentating on football games last season... with no previous front office experience...wab wrote:John Lynch just buttfucked Ryan Pace. Ryan Pace just turned around and buttfucked the Bears.

Do all his stats guarantee that Trubisky is going to become an All Pro? If not, then they mean NOTHING... they are just some guy's opinion and the Bears just made a trade that means Trubisky HAS to be an All Pro or Pace will look like a square headed doofus who got fleeced by a guy who was working the commentary booth in games last season...Adipost wrote:He analyzes every play of every QB every year.
