That's my guess. I don't think anyone expected SF to take him.

Well, here is a guy to develop a year with glennon at the helm. If glennon pans out then you have trade bait, if he doesn't you cut him and you have trubisky.

Hate it. Hate everything about it. Hate the trade. Hate the pick. Pace just put his current, and ability to obtain any future, job on MITCHELL Trubisky's shoulders. What the actual fuck...

Glennon has to love being a stop gap.

At least he gets a chance to play for his future here, and get paid doing it. I pray he becomes a stop gap because that means possibly the Chicago Bears have a fucking QB!

I'm pretty shocked by this ... and depressed that it seems rookie GM John Lynch has more on the ball than Bears GM Ryan Pace

49ers move down 1 spot, collect a few more draft picks, and end up with the guy they were going to draft anyway

the Bears move up 1 spot, overpay to do so, and to get a guy who has 1 season of college experience and will need to be nurtured and developed, something the Bears as a franchise have shown a marked inability to be able to do

Pace's strategy of signing free agents who play positions that are supposedly deep in the draft is making sense now.

If you trade the farm to move up one spot, you're not going to be drafting those players.

The Bears traded up because if they wanted Trubisky, the needed to trade up. The reason the 9ers picked the Bears for the trade is because it allowed them to still draft who they wanted. If the Bears didn't make this move, they don't get to draft who they obviously wanted.

Watch him pull a Costner and trade Trubisky back to Cleveland and picking up a boatload of picks.

If this happens I will retract my spite (and feel a bit silly).

For now, I'm so bitter.

I'm not the biggest Trubisky fan, but let's give the guy a chance. A lot of people thought Pace was too scared to draft a QB in the 1st. Well, he went and got his guy.

Hey guys, don't worry some writer said Trubisky is good... so... 4 picks to move up one spot for a guy some writer said is good... so we're fine... cause a writer said he's good... guys...

Kinda hard to build through the draft without picks...

John Lynch just buttfucked Ryan Pace. Ryan Pace just turned around and buttfucked the Bears.

He analyzes every play of every QB every year. He puts together a yearly stat book with any stat you can ever imagine. And he's a tremendous writer.

Bears fans are naturally debbie downers when it comes to QB's, and rightfully so. If he pays off and becomes the franchise, we'll all be lining up to lick Pace's balls.

The Bears will have a 3rd round pick again before Bisquits plays. Ugh.

Pace just got smashed by a guy who was commentating on football games last season... with no previous front office experience...

Do all his stats guarantee that Trubisky is going to become an All Pro? If not, then they mean NOTHING... they are just some guy's opinion and the Bears just made a trade that means Trubisky HAS to be an All Pro or Pace will look like a square headed doofus who got fleeced by a guy who was working the commentary booth in games last season...
