The Mack trade is one of those "Where were you when it happened?" Bear moments. I had just finished eating breakfast with my family where I had told them I hope the Bears don't make this trade because it'll cost too much between the draft picks and the contract. Then I go online and read about it.

Wow have I been wrong so far. Happy to be wrong too.

I was getting ready to go on a trip to Lake Arrowhead with my wife and my brother-in law - woke up in the morning and had like 100 texts with a bunch of notifications. Right then and there I knew we had traded for him and I was ecstatic. Couldn't have been happier and he's shown that he's been worth every penny on his new deal and draft picks we gave to the Raiders.

I can't wait until this all plays out in terms of actual draft pick compensation. It could play out, God willing, as a low 1st, low 1st, and a swap of a low 3rd for a high 2.
