Would anyone be surprised if the only two players that make the final roster are Montgomery and Ridley?

I think the K state corner probably will as well.

The 7th rd running back probably has more than a good shot to beat out Mizzell if he can learn a playbook.

Wouldn't surprise me at all. The Big 12 being the bread and butter of the college football I watch and I've never heard of this Kansas State kid the Bears drafted.

Are you guys kidding me? I'll go so far as to say that Montgomery, Ridley and Whyte are locks to make the 53. I think Shelley has a chance but if not he'll be on the practice squad.

With Patterson on this team I find whyte unlikely. Denmark is a project guy practice squad type. Duke is a guy might make the team but realistically he likely won't. He tape wasn't all that and his size is a hindrance.

Hard to say but could they possibly not retain a fullback for one more roster spot for RB or WR? Could they go with only 3 TE's on the roster?

Wims is only about 15-20 lbs lighter than Burton but Patterson is only listed as 7 lbs lighter than Burton.

Lot's of interesting combination possibilities with offensive personnel.

If pace actually felt that way he wouldn't have drafted them.

I don't think pace feels that way, I think that way. So does Wab and ring and probably others.

Remember the are 6 & 7 rounders. You're swinging the bat with Randy Johnson on the mound. You are lucky it's you make contact.

Valid. I don't think Denmark is a lock to make the 53, but I feel strongly that Whyte will and I dunno... just the way Pace spoke about Shelley makes it hard for me to think he'll cut him. Maybe he'll try to stash him on the 53 if the kid doesn't show promise.

I think Shelley has a chance to make the squad after hearing Pace say he's been watching him for a couple years. I think Denmark gets put on the PS. He's just too raw and limited right now to warrant a spot on an otherwise Super Bowl ready roster.

Whyte is 50/50 to me. It really depends on numbers at WR because Patterson is basically taking up a spot as a WR, RB, and returner all in one.

Interesting nugget that I didn't realize before the draft. DK Metcalf is the son of former Bears OG/T Terrence Metcalf.

Jesus. If that doesn't make us all feel old.
