We haven't done it in a few years, mostly thanks to the Bears trading out of the draft (Khalil Mack), so it's time to dust it off and see who can solve the first round.

THE GOAL: PREDICT WHICH PLAYERS ARE TAKEN IN THE CORRECT ORDER BY THE CORRECT TEAMS.

THE REWARD: $50 e-gift certificate to the Chicago Bears online store!


HOW IT WORKS: This is the opposite of golf - more points = better outcome.

TIEBREAKER: Predicting trades will serve as tiebreakers. Each correct trade is worth 1 point.

Example of scoring between two tied players:

Joe's draft - 01. Jackonville Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence, QB
Bob's draft - 01. Chicago Bears (f/ JAX): Trevor Lawrence, QB

Both accurately predicted that Trevor Lawrence would go 1st overall, but Bob predicted the Bears would trade up - this nets him a bonus point as a tiebreaker, securing him the $50.

Just curious if people are going to be participating in this year's contest. We're 10 days away and have no entries (which is fine). Just curious what the general vibe is.

I am....just waiting to the last minute in case of any other trades like SF made. I imagine others are in the same boat.

On draft day Dallas trades with Detroit and takes him at 7. Who, if anyone gets points? One guy had him going at the right spot, but someone else correctly predicted the team that would take him.

What UOK said above. Trust me, it's hard as hell after the first 5 or so picks. One year I had a ton of players going to the right teams, just in the wrong spots...it's what makes it fun, even though I lost that year.

I've handled many mocks with trades before, but somehow, yours inspired me to a new method which can also handle multiple trades of the same pick (which you don't have, but now I've got it).

And then, a punter in the 1st round! Presumably, you were dissing the Packers, but still, I had to create a new code to
deal with the situation.
