Before I get started there are no trades. I am also not thinking on how Nagy and Pace would think. This is how I would do it.

Round 1 – 20th overall
RB Najee Harris Alabama.
I know the need isn't there but I have in my top 5 available. There aren't any QB's that will be available come the 20th pick. To take a guy who is 50/50 is scary. Najee Harris is a stud and could be Derrick Henry type with the ability to catch the ball. At 20 I am taking the best player available.

Round 2 – 52nd overall
S- Jevon Holland Oregon.
Pure and simple the best Safety in this class that got forgotten about this year. I have seen him play many times and he stands out in every game. This maybe considered a need but then again I have him in my top 15 players in this draft period. He also has the speed, size and ability to play CB if needed.

Round 3 – 83rd overall
OT Walker Little Stanford.
As a Freshman he was on the same metorioc rize as Sewell. Knee injury as a sophomore and sat out as this year. This kid can flat out ball. He could be plug and play at RT. Not sure if he will be here but if he is like most mocks have him We have our RT for the next 15 years. I think the injury was a fluke.
Round 5 – 164th overall
DT Bobbie Brown III Texas A & M
5.5 sacks and 7.5 TFL in 9 games this year. 6-4 325lbs. Love the fact he called out all other DT's in the draft and said he is the best. The kid is a beast.

Round 6 – 204th overall
This one I will draft for need. WHich ever QB is left
1. Davis Mills
2. Kyle Trask
3. Kellen Mond
4. Jamie Newman
5. Sam Ehlinger
6. Peyton Ramsey
Round 6 – 208th overall
WR Simi Fehoko Stanford
Simply put a freak of an athlete he may drop due to his age and limited route tree. But what the hell shoot for the stars.
Round 6 – 221st overall
MLB Riley Cole South Alabama
Never seen the kid play. Never heard of him until an old Army buddy told me about this kid. Good size and good range. Needs time to developed but makes a ton of takes and at worst could play Special teams right away.
Round 6 – 228 overall.
OT Syrus Tuitele Fresno STate
Tough and mean and needs to be coached up. Sounds perfect for us.

I like what you did after the second round, but if you are taking a QB there, Mills, Trask, Mond and Newman are all gone at that point. Still think Franks gives you the most upside at that point (but he has a low floor as well).

I think that draft would spell the end for Pace.

In doing my mock I simply went BPA according to my rankings.

Najee Harris isn't only the best RB in this class he is also my 5th ranked player period. Think Derrick Henry with 4.45 speed.

Not to mention the ten best RB's of all time were all first rounders. Just saying.
Walter Payton. ...
Jim Brown.
Barry Sanders. ...
Emmitt Smith. ...
O.J. Simpson. ...
Marshall Faulk. ...
Gale Sayers. ...
Eric Dickerson

Yes I do believe Najee Harris will be wearing a gold jacket at the end of his career.

Just curious, who are the 4 guys you think are better than him?

Well, yeah. And they were all also drafted at least 25 years ago, maybe 40 on average.
Like it or not, the NFL doesn't work like that anymore.

@EricTighe

Dude you've got me thinking about Harris. I'd love to develop a RB tandem with Monty.

We can still get a quality OL in round 2.

Great mention man.

Fair enough. I have many more that I’d rank ahead of him but also think there are many that would fall into his “cluster” that are more of a need so I’d take them ahead of him Horn, Newsome and Jenkins to name a few.

So... turn Cohen into more of a full-time slot/gimmick/KR and roll with Monty/Harris/Williams/Nall?

I like the idea of Harris but kind of have to trade Cohen... no?

Then there's the *little* problem of Nagy really not liking to run the ball too much.

Eric - tell me about your ranking system. Sorry, I'm not familiar.

My ranking system is fairly simple.

1. Production
+
2. Athletic ability

Due to a lot of luck, I am more right than wrong.

I do see a lot of Ladanian Tomlinson in Najee Harris. Was really surprised this year on how well he caught the ball and picked up blitzes this year. Then to hear how he is one of the most respected and loved players on that Alabama team really shocked the crap out of me.

Then there was this.
