Cosmi, Christensen, Radunz, Brown, Jenkins, Mayfield...enough guys there who fit the bill that I feel pretty confident we'll overlook them all. But still. If only in theory, the draft's falling nicely for us so far.
So much road and so few places, so much friendliness and so little intimacy, so much flavour and so little taste.
Friendship is better than fighting, but fighting is more useful.

Yes.
The focus now needs to be to build around Fields. Give that guy everything he needs. Draft a couple OL and rebuild the line.

Cosmi is the only true LT left in this draft. I think Jenkins and Eichenberg could play there eventually but Cosmi is plug in ready from the many times I have watched him. Walker Little is a mystery to me but they say he is high quality. Mayfield/Radunz are a step down but could be really good too. It's a honey jar at OT in the second. If we want RT only, then Carman I love there and Brown is a guy I have rated higher than most.

"Great athleticism, but hasn't improved his technique any over time" is the line I hear.

I've read similar. It doesn't appear to be his work ethic, by most accounts, so it's either been coaching -- or not taking to it

We don't have a 4th or 5th. That means we currently have nothing from 83 to 204. That's a break of very nearly half the draft.
Pace almost has to trade down with the 2nd or 3rd. Although, trying to grab 2 linemen is tempting.
Radunz
Little
Brown
are my favorites, but I wouldn't pass on
Cosmi
Eichenberg
Leatherwood
Mayfield
Christensen and Carman are purely Gs, IMO
Humphrey was my favorite target on OL, but with all the picks spent on QB, may just have to give Mustipher that year that everyone wants. I think he's a backup, but you can get C in R2 next year, most likely.

Well he sure looks good on tape. I know I'm not an expert. However just watching him hes really fucking good. He isnt a drive blocker. In pass pro he plays that shadow style. He reminds me of that kids from stanford played LT for the dolphins who had a breakdown. Something like john Martin. But he is better in all areas.thunderspirit wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 7:20 amI've read similar. Leatherwood went to the Raiders at #17.Moriarty wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 7:39 am We don't have a 4th or 5th. That means we currently have nothing from 83 to 204. That's a break of very nearly half the draft.

I'd like them to land an OT, and Cosmi/Radunz/Brown/Little are on my short list.

Here is ESPN's list of remaining tackles. Don't think Jenkins and Eichenberg make it anywhere near 53. Cosmi > Radunz > Mayfield > Little > Brown would be my pecking order. The have Jackson Carman as a guard #2 behind only Meinerz, but I think he could be a good RT and would put him in between Mayfield and Little.

I agree here. I know that we don't have fourth but I expect Pace to do some wheeling/dealing today and tomorrow. He has done some of his best work in the middle rounds of the draft and I expect that he's got some tricks up his sleeve. The Marshall Plan wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 4:04 am Yes. I also think that he knows that now is not the time to play "smartest guy in the room" (Adan Shaheen, anyone?) and do anything stupid. As of this moment, Pace has energized the fanbase to a level not seen in years. I think he's smart enough to know that building around fields is "Job 1" and I don't see him screwing that up.

Really surprised to see Cosmi so far down that ESPN list .... besides Jenkins, I think he's my favorite guy still on the board and I think he's a better candidate for LT than Jenkins is.
I think Jenkins gets grabbed in the first 5 picks today - today will be an exercise in patience as we start seeing some stud OTs come off the board. (and I'm not horrified by the idea of a legit downfield threat like Elijah Moore)

This is about as excited as I've been for a draft in quite a few years. Yeah, really hoping we see an OT here. I think after that I'm leaning more to WR before CB. I'm pretty disappointed in how badly Anthony Miller has regressed and feel they really need one more player here, someone with size.

I mean, I had him as a little underrated 1-2 months ago. But it's not like he's a small school guy who just entered the radar. And he had a very solid pro day, but nothing at all crazy like Spencer Brown.

BTW, I wouldn't be entirely sure Pace doesn't go CB.
Trufant is very risky and, after getting a starter at 50(?) last year, he may be confident he can do it again.

There's a lot of areas where Pace can go right in Rd2. Needs line up well with talent, by most accounts.

He should definitely be a Day 3 draft-and-try-to-develop guy. I wouldn't take him before pick 150 or so myself.Moriarty wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 11:43 amHe's really, really rocketed up some board lately, and I'm kind of puzzled.Arkansasbear wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 11:22 am

This draft is wild. I can’t believe they got Jenkins too.
