I whipped through a 2022 sim very quickly. Partly curious, partly as a joke.

Still, I may need an intervention.

Wanted a C here, but the only 2 who mattered went shortly before me

Lol, I am going to wait until about half way through the season before even looking at those sites. I do not even know who any of those dudes are, but half the fun of these things is looking up highlight videos of people you don't know.

Hey I am right with you Moriarty. No better time to start looking at 2022 than when you've still got the 2021 draft fresh in your head!

Do you have a feel for which position groups are strong or weak in 2022? That's the question I usually start off with--besides team needs of course!)

Edge/DL is supposed to be particularly strong. Secondary is looking pretty deep too.

Hopefully Kyle Hamilton gets recorded punching a baby in public and the Bears can get him in the 2nd round.

Fixt. :)

Traded down twice in the 3rd to pick up some later picks. I literally just took the highest rated guy since have not really looked at anyone. Seems my last three picks are rated WAY too low.

42. John Metchie III WR Alabama

88. Chris Hinton DT Michigan

106. Emil Ekiyor OG Alabama

142. Trae Barry TE Jacksonville State

174. DaShaun White LB Oklahoma

205. Reggie Roberson WR SMU

219. Al Blades Jr. CB Miami-Fl

lol, yeah, i'm in love with Olave too... Although I was watching Darnell Mooney Highlights today and fantasizing about having a qb that could hit him in stride. Both Mitch's and Foles' ball placement was not doing him any favors and now I'm even more delirious.

No, I don't have any sense of that yet.

I'm reading that CB, OT, and Edge look strong, but also that it's even harder to tell than usual because of the COVID disruptions to college football. Anyway, CB and Edge are likely need positions for the Bears.

Useful article on the strengths of the 2022 draft (spoilers: defense, at least at the top of the first):
