When A 3 Year Old Is A Better Person Than Mom

I saw that as well; as a dad, it breaks my heart to see the way the kid is treated. My 3 year-old looked forward to this Halloween for months and I couldn't imagine completely disregarding his feelings.
On a slight tangent, we tried the whole "leave a bowl of candy out" thing last year when we had to step out for a couple hours. Not only was all the candy gone when we got back, but someone also stole our bowl. And it's not like we live in a bad neighborhood; on the contrary, our house is in a pretty nice suburb. Some people are just selfish and have no empathy.
