They had him on the NFL channel for an interview but he said he doesn't follow the Bears
"They traded me so I could care less about them anymore"
and said he hates football and won't watch it.
Does he not realize that if it wasn't for football (and specifically the Chicago Bears) he wouldn’t be having his golf tournament, he wouldn’t be on the radio, and he’d have to get a f*cking job!
Jimmy Mac was just on Sirius

I don't really care. These guys come from all over the place. The idea that someone that get's picked to play for the Bears should suddenly be a lifelong fan of the team is a little silly. As long as you're wearing that big orange "C" and playing your best, I could care less if you've got a Troy Aikman or John Elway jersey in your closet. The Bears are a completely different situation though. How many former players have pleasant things to say about this organization? The city's great. The fans are great. The team's just a former employer though. I still love Jimmy Mac.

Jimmy's Chicago area restaurant stayed open all of what a year ?
Things haven't exactly gone the punky qb's way the last few years.
The BEARS traded him and when he was with the packers and they won a super bowl. Jimmy went to the white house wearing a BEARS jersey afterwards.
Guess it took a while for Jimbo to become a tad bit bitter towards the beloved.

Love that story. For that reason alone I will ALWAYS love Jimmy Mac and nothing he says will ever piss me off.Beardude wrote:The BEARS traded him and when he was with the packers and they won a super bowl. Jimmy went to the white house wearing a BEARS jersey afterwards.
