So my Firefox browser has been running fine up until today. I went to open it and it said it was installing an update, ever since then it won't open any pages.

I upgraded to the Beta 3.1, downgraded to the 2.0, and no matter what I do, the webpages won't open.

My firewall is off, and I am currently using internet explorer and it is accessing pages just fine.

Anyone have any idea WTF happened?

Not sure. See if you can uninstall it completely then re-download. If it is indeed f'd, you can easily make the transition to my 2nd fave web browser Opera.

I got away from ZoneAlarm a long time ago for just that reason. I'm going with the free version of Comodo Firewall. It's a bit overprotective, but nothing as bad as ZoneAlarm.

Comodo is the shit. It sucks sometimes when it asks for literally EVERY program's security clearance, but it's nice to know it's that efficient.
