Bears start slow. Trubisky throws a couple picks.
Jordan Howard rips them up in the second half. Bears grind out a nice win, but closer than it should be.

My friend "guaranteed" me that Barkley will get 100+ rushing the ball and another 50+ receiving.
I guaranteed him the Bears win by 20.
I predict that manning throws 2 picks, Howard sits on the bench most of the game and we win 31-10

I will kill you if you cut me at the knees. You will drink with me when invited and stay til I say so. We only listen to American Music. I make men nervous with just my presence. I expect an apology if you hold. I throw linemen at QB's. Believe the Lore!

I need to wait to make my prediction until I know who's playing QB.
Bears win either way I think.

Oh man. This is the CLASSIC trap game. A reeling 3-8 Giants team, with the Rams looming one week later. I think a lesser team, with lesser leaders, and a lesser coach would allow the team to slip into complacency. But I don't see that happening.
The Giants OL is terrible. They have two real playmakers on offense, Barkley and OBJ. And that is IF Manning can get them the ball. Eli may be the most immobile QB out there. The defense is mediocre at best.
I see the Bears coming out a bit flat, but after a first possession TD by the Giants, the Bears are shocked into reality. The defense harrasses Manning all game, and he throws two picks. Jackson gets another pick but no TD. The Bears get 5 sacks, Mack and Hicks each have one. The Bears offense with Daniel under center, does just enough to win the game. Good day for Robinson against Janoris Jenkins, 5/80 1TD.
Bears - 24
Giants - 13

I'd bet that Daniel's is starting.wab wrote:I need to wait to make my prediction until I know who's playing QB.

Probably. I think our defensive front is going to absolutely overwhelm their offensive line. I doubt it matters who starts at qb , and Daniel should come out a little less flat. I also think we have a lot more success running the ball than Thanksgiving. Detroit’s run defense is a decent bit better since they got Snacks.Bears Whiskey Nut wrote:I'd bet that Daniel's is starting.wab wrote:I need to wait to make my prediction until I know who's playing QB.

6 of the Giants 8 losses have been by one possession. That skews their poor record in my mind.
Trap game? Maybe... but I don't think Nagy and our team's leadership will allow that to happen. Sounds like Trubisky is going to be a go, but it's not written in ink just yet.
(With Trubisky)
I think Biscuit might come out a touch rusty and the Giants will come out trying to prove themselves to the Class of the NFC North... but it's a punch in the face that we take, smirk, and then impose our will on them as a result.
Bears - 34
Giants - 17
(Without Biscuit)
I think Daniel gets a little more leeway in the offense, but Nagy is not interested in potentially turning the ball over and giving the almost dead Giants any reason to feel revived. Do we run more this week? We fucking should, they're 19th in the league by giving up 4.5 yards per carry. Still... I'm not feeling as confident with Daniel under center, but that doesn't mean I think we will lose.
Bears - 24
Giants - 14

I think Trubisky will play. He was day to day going into Thanksgiving. We'll probably get a clear idea by week's end once they put Bray back on the PS. If he's still on the roster, Mitch isn't ready.
One man’s opinion, and I honestly have no idea if he’s right that it’s indicative of anything, but here’s an opinion that Trubisky will start...

Bears win. There will be some hiccups in the game, but they will win.
W/Daniel - Bears 24
Gents 13
Bears D lights up Manning and the backup is in mid way thru qtr 3
with the Biscuit:
Bears 34
Gents 13
Biscuit has a couple of nice scrambles to keep drives alive. ARob goes off with 6 for 120+. RB committee nets over 110 yds rushing and all is good in Beardom. Mack with 2 sacks, FF. Hicks a sack. Floyd no sacks but contains the run.
Barkley gets his 100

The Weather is supposed to be pretty fair in NY this weekend... forecast is calling for temps in the mid 60's with some showers. So not playing in a blizzard helps.
With Daniels:
Bears 24
Giants 19
With Biskit:
Bears 31
Giants 13
The Giants are overall pretty bad, and even thought they are averaging 20 points per game, I don't see how they move the ball against the Bears.
I'm also going to start ODB this weekend on my fantasy team, so that should be really good for the Bears.

Man, if last week taught me anything, it's that the Bears offense with Tru in there is like heroin, once you get a taste, you only want more. I get it might be smart to sit him, but DAMN I do NOT want to watch a game with Daniels again! LOL

Yeah. Daniel is boring as shit. He drops back and leisurely tosses the ball around. He's not the dynamic player we are used to seeing. I think he can handle the Giants though. At least I hope so. No doubt we will be relying on our defense to step up again.Bad Flanders wrote:Man, if last week taught me anything, it's that the Bears offense with Tru in there is like heroin, once you get a taste, you only want more. It sounds like we are being extremely cautious.
Doing the maths:
Biscuit's last start: 11/18/18
Biscuit's potential next start: 12/9/18 (Rams)
That's 20 days of rest for the kid.

Giants manage one FG until a trash time TD at the end. The Swagwagon rolls right through NY and only stops to grab some rubens at Katz's and kick some Giant butt.

Not sure we've been good for long enough to have trap games yet. This team is still cementing an identity and will go all out in every game.
Even with Daniels under centre, their defence is bad, particularly against the pass. We'll move the ball and put up points. I also don't think they can really attack our defence. Concentrate our already good rush D on Barkley and force Manning to beat us, that way Jackson can get even more TDs. He's throwing a lot of passes and getting sacked a lot, our D must be licking their lips.
Bears 23, Giants 9.

The Giants just don't have the personnel to win this game. Who is on their defense to cover AR15, Gabriel, Burton and Miller at the same time? No way. Barkley is a stud no doubt, but I'm guessing Fangio can scheme against him. OBJ can't do it all on his own. The Bears will generate plenty of pressure on Manning to significantly disrupt the passing game. Daniel is no slouch as a backup QB. He easily more than held his own against Detroit.
The Giants score in garbage time to make this look closer than it really was.

I think Bears win big.
Bears 38
Giants 17
Eli gets sacked 6 times with 1 forced fumble.
Eli throws a pick six
Chase goes for 300 yards after having a full week of practice and 1 of our RBS has 100 yards from scrimmage.
