What's your resolution for 2019. They say admitting your goal makes you 40% more likely to achieve it.

I currently can't think of one to go with. Normally I go with an exercise goal. I have no idea this year. That's yours?

My family is de-cluttering in anticipation of buying or building a new house in the "near" future. We went through our boys' rooms and sent 5 full garbage bags of stuff to various people who could use it (clothes and toys), and another 4-5 bags full of stuff that wasn't worth saving to the garbage.

I don't even want to think about our basement. There is stuff in there in boxes that we haven't seen since we moved in 13 years ago. Didn't think about how much of a packrat I was until we took an honest look at what we had and decided to start the process.
I will kill you if you cut me at the knees. You will drink with me when invited and stay til I say so. We only listen to American Music. I make men nervous with just my presence. I expect an apology if you hold. I throw linemen at QB's. Believe the Lore!

I've told myself that this will move under it's own steam.... but I'm already doubting it to be honest!!

I don't really do resolutions, I usually set 3-5 goals. This year I've decided these are mine:

Goal one - spend the first 30 days of the year off of social media
Goal two - read at least 3 books
Goal three - drink more water and less bourbon
Goal four - take the family on a vacation
Goal five - stay consistent at the gym

As with every year, keep that weight yo yo going. Need to start taking off the winter weight. Little harder to do when it is cold. I like to ride bikes and walk so winter kind of screws that up.

So resolution #1 - workout, do what I can to start taking off about 13 lbs.

#2 - attempt to do more reading (try to read a book or two). I read lots of magazine articles -
easier to keep my attention.
#3 - find a better full time job or another/additional better paying part time job.
#4 - attempt to be less of an asshole :D

Last year, my resolution was to listen to a lot more Aerosmith music. There were a few bands I listened to a lot and I realized that I had not listened to Aerosmith much at all. Mission accomplished.

There is a Chris Cornell album on iTunes that is a collection of some of his work with the bands he was in and his solo performances. It's over 60 songs. One of them is a cover of One by Metallica which I think is amazing. I think my New Year's resolution for 2019 is to listen to that album straight through.

I'm already failing miserably at #3.

1. Get back to some combination around 154 lbs, 32" waist (not jean size!) 14% body fat.
2. Get back to a sub 22 minute 5k.
3. Find a work/life balance/ job I'm happy with.

That's about 20lbs of fat to lose and about 6 lbs of muscle to gain for 1. For 2 I need to drop down from 26:10 as of this week though that was part of a 10k and not flat out.

For work? Christ knows!
"I wouldn't take him for a conditional 7th. His next contract will pay him more than he could possibly contribute.".

Noted Brain Genius Malk, Summer 2018.

(2020 update, wait, was I right...)
