The Bears altered the title of recently hired assistant Deshea Townsend to secondary coach while promoting two defensive quality control coaches to positions as well Friday.
Sean Desai has been named the Bears' new safeties coach. He previously held the title of assistant defensive backs coach. Additionally, Bill Shuey has been named defensive pass analyst/assistant linebackers coach.
