The #Jets remain the clear favorite for Le'Veon Bell, per league conversations. The #Bears remain in the bidding along with the #Ravens. Both teams have significant interest.

Really? I'm actually shocked that we are going after him. If he really wants to win, he'll come here. But I don't think he cares.

I'll be happy if Bell comes here but man I do NOT want to overpay for this dude.

Nope. Neither do I. Not with his injury history.

I think he also has 2 strikes against him towards a long suspension if he gets popped for drugs/peds again
I will kill you if you cut me at the knees. You will drink with me when invited and stay til I say so. We only listen to American Music. I make men nervous with just my presence. I expect an apology if you hold. I throw linemen at QB's. Believe the Lore!

according to this NBC report, the Bears are not part of the Bell sweepstakes :

Six teams reportedly are in play for Le’Veon Bell
Well, now we know why Le'Veon Bell is torn.

Bell’s universe of potential next destinations apparently has been reduced to six.

Josina Anderson of ESPN reports that there’s a “good likelihood” that Bell will be picking the Jets, Colts, Ravens, Packers, Texans, or Bills today.

That’s a lot to unpack. The Jets make a ton of sense, for football and business reasons. So do the Ravens, especially as they revamp their offense. The Packers would be fascinating with Bell running and Aaron Rodgers passing. Pairing Bell with Deshaun Watson in Houston would be potentially devastating for defenses, too.

If Buffalo makes the move, it would mean that LeSean McCoy would be elsewhere, possibly back in Philly where the band is in the process of being put back together.

I find the prospect of landing Bell both seductive and troubling.

Obscure, random twitter guy with loose internet-quality ties to WSCR says that Bears are signing Bell.

Bell signing for 4yrs 64mil 49 guaranteed to the Bears, but yeah....horrible, horrible sources.

if not, pretty close to it

is there still a way for teams to be able to void player contracts if the player is a douche? or was that done away with at the last CBA?

Fun fact: Bell and Howard have the same agent. I don’t know if that means anything, but I’d wager that if Bell does sign with the Bears, the Jets acquire Howard as a consolation prize.

I actually think he has went long enough now that he may be out of the protocol.

So... is he a douchebag because he held out? I mean... Earl Thomas would've been SMART to hold out after what happened to him. And it's not like it was all peachy in Pitt... Brown wanted out also for a reason. There is a rot there that runs deep.

I wouldn't go to work if I could afford not to and I knew I was worth more than they were paying me. So, THAT part doesn't bother me one bit.

Or is there something else here? Did he hit a chick or act like a douche in some other capacity? I honestly don't know.

With Anthony Barr spurning the #Jets, they have some extra money. I’m told they’ve taken some of that money and made a last and final big offer to Le’Veon Bell. It’s decision time for the ex-#Steelers RB.

In a series of cryptic Tweets, LeVeon Bell offers hints through pals that he may be headed to the Ravens.

Ah ok.

I just went and looked at Ingrams stats for last 2 years and Bells (exluding last year)

The production is very similar. The one constant is a HOF QB keeping the D honest. We need that first and foremost. For the cheaper price I would pretty much prefer Ingram I think. Bell would handicap the hell out of our cap going forward.

You would think the Bears would have to have a deal in place for a Howard trade before they would announce they signed Bell.
