23 picks until the Bears are up. I'd be psyched if any one of these 10 guys lasted to the Bears pick....

1 Amani Oruwariye CB
2 Julian Love CB
3 D’Andre Walker EDGE
4 Christian Miller EDGE
5 Amani Hooker S
6 Dru Samia G
7 Chauncey Gardner-Johnson S
8 Jimmy Moreland CB
9 Deionte Thompson S
10 Saivion Smith

Also, although I don't see WR as a major need, it would be naive not to acknowledge that the Bears have been seriously looking at WR prospects as part of their draft prep. They did private workouts (top 30) with at least 4 relatively high ranking WR prospects:
  • Myles Boykin (Notre Dame) *PRI/LOC
    Emanuel Hall (Mizzou) PRI
    Riley Ridley (Georgia) PRI
    Terry McLaurin (Ohio State) SRB/PRO
Two of these guys (Ridley and Hall) are still on the board so it shouldn't come as a huge surprise for the Bears, assuming they liked what they saw in the PRI work out, to snag one here in the 4th.

Chauncey must have some red flags. Generally I think a DB makes sense.

Christian Miller fits that injury /circumstance better pro then collegiate player that Pace likes.

As does Kendall Sheffield, yeah.

It's also Round 4 where Pace isn't afraid to gamble on the FCS-and-lower guys. Moreland fits that bill (seems early for him to me, and he's smallish, but he's shown he can play at both the Shrine Game and Senior Bowl), as does Corey Ballentine.

Maxx Crosby falls short of the Bears' stated arm length preference so I don't know if he'd be a consideration there. Dude can play, though.

Nice we got both of them. Very nice call on this one.
