It's time for me to complete my defense.
This player played HB/DB but only has defensive stats for 4 years surrounding WWII. He finished with one all-pro and 2 Pro Bowl awards to show for 13 interceptions and a TD. He also scored 2 TDs in the famous 73-0 Redskins thrashing. So he enhances my team's versatility.
Harry Clarke, CB
This player played for the Bears for 7 years at both CB and S. His 21 interceptions rank him right behind Brian Urlacher in career interceptions. He made one Pro Bowl.
Don Kindt, S

Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".
Go back to leather helmets, NFL.

I'll give credit to Mikefive - nobody's done more to display and honor so many great Chicago Bears that have been lost to time in this exercise.
That said, I think his team of helmetless undersized leatherheads would get mostly stomped. :P
------
G08 is up again and we are in our final goddamn round.

I'm taking HB Beattie "Big Chief" Feathers, although Anthony Thomas made me think really, really hard about it.

Gonna be kind of an honor system to finish this thing out. I'll be up and down and may not be near a computer, so you guys kind of have to do a "first come/first serve" type system.
Cblaz has a ton of picks left, as does Umbali. I'll fill out rosters later tonight and maybe this weekend or early next week we can do the auction, depending on what works for people.

So it's a free for all to finish our teams?
Okay, I'll take S Charlie Sumner and I think that completes my team.

I only have one pick left. So I’m taking Johnny Lujack as my kicker. He kicked one FG and 3 extra points in his career

For Mr. Irrelevant, this leadfoot had a massive 44.5 yard gross punting average for his 4-year Bears career, which ranks 11th all time in NFL gross punting average.
George Gulyanics, P
Note… They didn’t record net average back then.

Sumner is technically gone since he’s part of the Pagan roster auction.beardownbilly wrote:So it's a free for all to finish our teams?

Edit: Never mind, Sumner is available. He’s yours.

I loved that guy. Not just with the Bears either. Especially when he was on the Saints.

It looks like I got passed over last round because I was away? No big deal at all just double checking.
I pick Todd Sauerbrun - P.

To round out my roster I will select K, Jaret Holmes, a perfect 2-2 in 1999.
Big thanks goes out to UOK. I was away from a computer all day, thanks for picking for me.
This was an awesome draft.
I will be on vacation tomorrow for the next 6 days. Heading northwest to South Dakota. Going to do the Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, hiking thru the Black Hills shit.
Doubt I will be able to take part in the supplemental scavage Pagan's roster.
Did A Train get picked? If not, kind of shocked.
