Question: I might have been one of the few that liked the ability to have a "light" color scheme with a white background. Does that option still exist and I'm overlooking it? If not, is it on the horizon as you stabilize this build?

Let me know.
Currently we do not have a light color option theme.

We will look into having a light color scheme at some point, but that time may not be soon. Upgrading the forum and massaging the "home" theme into place was something of an undertaking, but if @Xee has further input on this and thinks we could do it fairly easily, I'd happily whip it together.

What it comes down to is the base style we customized to look like this has lots of moving pieces, much more than our previous boards, and actually fairly unique as styles go. When we first started modifying it we actually brought on an outside coder with 15+ years experience with forums to help and he was equally confused. Because of this, creating a second one is not as straight forward process as the first.

That being said, there is some documentation available on how to do it but it's fairly involved and I haven't had the time to start going through it. But yes, I definitely am going to try to set aside some time in the future to do that and try to figure it out. I just can't give any time-frame for it right now.

@Xee and myself got what seems to be the final few bugaboos figured out:
  • clicking the header area will now take you back to the main page
  • the header should now dynamically adjust itself to fit in your screen
  • (most of) the colors across the forum are uniform
We'll likely still do mundane adjustments here and there, but I think, with hours to spare before preseason game 1, we got the board up to date and looking kickass!

Thanks again to @Xee and all of our beta testers, as well as you, our awesome BFO community. Let's kick some ass.

Does anyone else have the issue of everything being compressed to the middle of the screen? I'm on my MacBook and it's that way with both Firefox and Safari.

I lied. Xee and I are still working on things.

We’re trying to get the page to cooperate on mobile and it’s kind of wonky. Stay posted.

Centring would be ok but why not 100%, with the idea that the mobile browser would then scale it? Not that I have any idea about this stuff!

I've made it 100%, so let's see how it goes for a few hours.
Just to say thanks for this, looks great at my end.

I've only seen it on my phone so far, and it took a few minutes to figure some things out (as well as remember my password).

But I like it a lot! Good job guys 👍

That might be intended as we have it set to 80% of the width of the screen on desktops and 100% width of the screen on mobile devices. Can you tell me the resolution of your Macbook is? We might be able to tweak the threshold for when it kicks to 100% but I'll need to know your resolution to test it.

Love the update - looks great on both desktop and mobile. The auto embeds are a very welcome addition.

Thanks for all the work setting up and maintaining the site.
