High Points of Being a Bears Fan: Seeing Sayers and Butkus play in Wrigley. At the game where Sweetness set the single game rushing record (although the game besides that wasn't much). The '85 team.

Where are my old Chicago Bears and what have you done with them, Ryan Poles?

As a friendly reminder to you and others, the BFO Community Guidelines say the following:
The underlined and italicized portion of that is what I'm referencing here. Your now former signature of bouncing tits (and Umbali's avatar of similar jugs) have been removed. We want all walks of fan, including women, to feel welcome here and not like they've walked into a strip club. There are many billions of venues on the internet where you can look at naked chicks. This place is for talking about the Bears.
MEMBER CONDUCT
REGARDING CONTENT:
We don't mind profanity, but keep it tasteful. No racial, sexist, or homophobic language will be tolerated.
Use good judgment with images. Image size, especially in signatures, can clutter up or lag the page.
Additionally, be mindful of people who browse BFO at work. It would perhaps earn a reprimand or in some circumstances a firing if somebody was innocently browsing the board and suddenly their boss sees some clearly NSFW content. Let's be a bit more mindful about that stuff, please.
It was also a monstrous image to have as a signature.
Anywho, if anyone needs a Bears-related avatar or signature, I've got a stickied thread full of ones I've made for your use.

Question on the board. Is this dark blue layout the only display option available or are therr any standard phpbb views?

Happy to have you. And you are a brave man to have kids that close. I have a 3 1/2 year-old and only now have things slowed down enough for us to think about a second one.The Cooler King wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2019 7:58 pm Hey all, another cbfans.net refugee (fka as BillGeorge61 there). And unfortunately this the only style we offer. At one time we had both a light and dark them but a forum update broke our previous style and this new one requires some additional technology that only supports one.

Wow BG. I've known you a long time, and I've always loved Steve McQueen. I thought he died, but now I find out he's only been disguised as you all this time. Guess they caught you again, huh? the Nom de GuerreThe Cooler King wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2019 7:58 pm Hey all, another cbfans.net refugee (fka as BillGeorge61 there). I can only wonder if DP is actually Elvis.
I guess I'm also a refugee from CBFans, though I've been a longtime lurker on this board and even have all of six posts here. To tell you the truth, although DP did a great job, I'm not sure that what happened to CBFans wasn't Karma. I went to Florida this season, and we couldn't buy a win. And when I got back, the negativity was so bad (Nagy = Trestman and Pace = Emery) even while we were still in it, that I couldn't bear to contribute over there over the last few months. It was like reading accumulated posts from Skippy Ballless and Jay Moronotti.
Oh well, guess we have a new home now. I sure hope it's not so negative here. Sad to see CBFans sink in that morass of Gloom that it became at the end.

Former CBFan The Grizzly One reporting for duty.
Former Cool-aid drinking Bear fan. (Still a Bear fan, since 1968, but this past season has taken it's toll om my cool-aid drinking, more Vodka and Whiskey though.)
But before the next season starts, I'll be fully loaded again. (On cool-aid, not Vodka.)
Famous for:
- Dick Butkus is NFL football in living flesh.
- Ridiculous optimism
- Predicted Super Bowl in 2006 (Granted I've been wrong on that same perdition a few times. But I won $1000 bucks that year. So there.
- After his first preseason game, that Matt Forte would end up being the Bears 2nd All-Time rusher and third greatest RB.
- For saying in 2009 "The McCaskey's were not stupid enough to keep Lovie Smith."
- For assuring everyone that when Devin Hester became a WR he would become great at it. Furthermore not to worry about his lack of blocking ability, his mere threat on and end around would freeze defenses and help more than a great block ever could.
- Jokes, puns, humor that only I find funny.
- Being among the first to declare Gib a troll.
Anyway, sad to see CBFans go. But as many others have already lamented, it's better days were long ago...
to the future.
P.S. I see another Grizz on here. Sorry fella, I can't give it up as I've been using it since the early 90's. Hope you understand.

Hello all, new member posting for the very first time. I am from Maryland but grew up as a Bulls fan so I have been a fan of the area for a while.
Visited the city last year, to attend Star Wars Celebration and absolutely loved it and city!
Another reason I joined your forum is that I hate The Packers with a passion. Since Da Bears are their biggest rivals thats enough for me to boost them.

Howdy
CBFans refugee, fortunately found out about this place serendipitously and glad to have a place to read and maybe advance a few posts.
Name: Marc
From: Originally Downers Grove IL now in Mayberry
Bears fan since: late 60's
Fave food: fresh donuts and not Krispy Kreme
Fave drink: just a good dark beer
Misc: Bears/NFL is my last hobby as baseball and basketball are boring, hockey is OK but never watched it much, and golf is not so much fun as my eyesite has deteriorated

San Francisco has always been my favorite booing city. I don't mean the people boo louder or longer, but there is a very special intimacy. Music, that's what it is to me. One time in Kezar Stadium they gave me a standing boo.

Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".
