I'd place good money on those incentives being tough to hit. So probably a decent pay cut. But I was at 7-9 on a multi year deal. So 10 guaranteed on a 1 year prove it doesn't surprise me.

I had the amount between 9-10 on a long term deal. My guess is that his agent got in the way for us (wouldn't come down from the 13 mill for one year for us) or Leonard wanted out in Chicago. Not sure which. From his standpoint, at least he's going to another team which has a high sack threat potential.

I would say his performance got in the way.

I doubt he was ever even offered a deal/extension.
