That could be Pace's ploy to buy more time - "did you see him flash? We need 2 more years to see what he can do".
But C/G, CB, OLB, and SS are all missing starters. Spending a 2 on a backup QB feels like either a) Counting on Trubisky to be the almost the whole difference almost all by himself, or b) just giving up on the season (buying time, as above).
Quinn is the olb starter.
Graham/burton/hurst fill the TE spot.
Tolliver starts at cb.
S is the spot I can’t figure. Bush resign? HaHa discount?
Qb and c/g round two leaves the rest of the draft to fill holes.
Yeah, I said that right before I got to the Quinn thread
Fuller/Toliver/Skrine, backed up by Shelly and the minor league guy, gives me no confidence, though. They'd better hope for a really improved rush.
Eason intrigues me as a R2 value, but I'm sure if they used that on QB they'd take Fromm or Hurts instead.
SS, I've been expecting to probably be Bush and a Day 3 pick, just out of necessity.

Hello, my name is Moriarty. I have come to kill your website, prepare to die.
I wouldn’t touch that Hicks contract though...it’s a steal. We could always convert some of Fullers, Mack’s, and I believe Whitehairs deal to create a little space.
Also...I know many want Robinson extended...If it’s me, I’m 100% comfortable waiting. Maybe extend him after camp.
I am having a feeling we are going to end up with Cam . I hope that we barely give up anything and dont take his current contract. My question is if Carolina cuts him, what would be their dead cap hit? Do they have incentive to eat some of it if they trade him? They are in a tough spot since they already signed Teddy B.
If Cam was cheap I could live with it. Assuming health but how can you trust that

When was the last time the Chicago Bears signed a diva?
Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".

True. I am not saying they should. As things get thinner the possible flaws of each available QB looks bigger lol.
Dalton = Read Headed Mitch?
Foles = Hit some hot streaks but over all meh
Winston = High upside low downside and character issues
Status Quo = we have seen that

Hmmm
?
(No, not Cutty. The other one.)
Hard to believe it's been that long (2013). I feel like I must be missing someone.

If they cut him they save like 20mil and only eat like 2mil in dead money.
Kind of the same with Dalton. Cincy saves 17mil and change with no dead money.
I'm sure Pace was hoping Brady would go back to the Pats because now there's an actual market for this tier of QB and I'd argue a more desirable spot in NE.

Is there any interior oline guys out there or are we rolling the dice on RG right now? It again seems like Wisniewski (at center) is our best option
There are a few out there still but a lot of them come with age or durability issues. I think now that Glasgow is gone, I would lock in on Germain Ifedi. He is really durable playing at least 15 games every year, he started at RT for Seattle last year but has been the starter at RG as well so he has versatility. He is also only 25 years old so he has a lot more playing time. Maybe we sign him for RG this year and RT down the road if needed.
Some others are Andreas Peat, who I am not a fan of due to injury issues. Mike Iuputi is an older guy but has good experience. Mike Remmers is another 30 year old but could be plugged right in at RG and cover RT if needed. John Miller is another name to watch. Good run blocker and 27 years old. Michael Schofield is another guy I like. He isn't flashy but gets the job done at RG. Lastly, if Ron Leary is healthy he could be gold. He is a top notch OG in this league but the last two years he's been sidelined a lot. I didn't see anything else out there that I really was intrigued by.

Ifedi went to the Jets for a shit ton of money.
I think the Bears bring in John Miller who is getting cut and see what happens in the draft.

Yea, S worries me. But all 3 of our FA are still unsigned which is the silver lining.

The market for Ha Ha was supposed to be hot. I wonder what happened.
I'm not sure I want him back because he doesn't really fit the D... but it's odd that there hasn't been much movement in the safety market...especially given how weak the draft class is.

Interesting, I don’t think Patterson will be starting anytime soon though.

I don't mind Ha Ha, but there are a number of more SS types that are currently in the market that I'd prefer. Off the top of my head, Jefferson, Joseph and Bell. I'd like any of them.
