I get that he wants out of the Jets shitty organization, but I don't think he's helping his value much right now. No coach is going to want a malcontent, publically mouthy/critic towards his HC like this.

I believe what he says is true and Gase is just not a good HC. But damn....

He's playing every card he can to get out of NY and assuming his talent will circumvent the consequences of all the shit talk, but he's going about this pretty unprofessionally. If you want out, don't show up and let your agent handle things. That's why you have an agent.

Dplank - it's the playbook

Do you remember how many years Lance Briggs played here after we were so disrepectful he would never play here agaiN!!!

UOK - Disagree here -"If you want out, don't show up and let your agent handle things. That's why you have an agent."

This IMHO always comes FROM the Agent. Hold out when you are under contract is basically killed by the last 2 CBAs - SO if you want leverage this is how you try and go about it (*)

(*) Im not saying anything on the fairness of it, morals of it, etc. Just that it can be effective as a strategy

(**) Some more than others - Andy Reid was bad at this. - I remember both Corey Simon(?) and J. Trotter using it and getting their new home and most importantly $$$$

They give J Adams his $ and all is right with Gase and the Org. (at least in public)

Well, looks like it worked! As good as he is I'm not sure he's worth that draft haul simply because of the position he plays. I mean, they gave up basically what we gave up when we acquired Khalil Mack! 3 picks (2 firsts and a third + McDougal and get Adams + a 4th). That's a brutal deal, I think the Jets fleeced them here especially given that they weren't likely to retain him long term anyways. Is a safety a good enough player to push them over the top and win another SB? I liked the Mack deal a lot, you give up this package for a HOF pass rusher in his prime. But for a safety?

The Jets are an awful organization, but this is a good deal for them. I think the league is better when that division is competitive so I like seeing the Jets and Dolphins improve. The Jets now have 4 1st round picks in the next two drafts to build around Darnold. If I'm them, I go heavy on OL and nab a top flight WR to pair with Darnold and build something around him - he's had absolute shit to work with. They need to move on from Gase, I suspect they are going to tank this season for high picks and dump Gase afterwards.

Dolphins are my new AFC team (used to be the Ravens but I moved from MD to Palm Beach). It's pretty exciting watching a team build up from absolute scratch like they are doing. Shaheen is going to put them over the top!

We will see how his next contract goes. I am sure something like this will either lower his value or cause inclusions to void his contract for similar issues.

A) Shaheen will definately fit in Palm Beach with his takes

B) Southdakota - He is going to absolutely get paid
