behind 4-7 points, 2-3 min. left in game, start on own 10-20y line, of distance to endzone 80-70 yards with pass plays.

Anyone not expecting 10 to throw 3 TDs against the Lions really hasn't been paying attention. That's his effing average lol. I thought they'd put 28 up. But give the kid credit for meeting expectations! The guys were jacked at the end - that's awesome.
Nobody gets excuses in football. Swift drop - not an excuse. Lions deciding to throw the ball when ageless Adrian was averaging 6.5? Not an excuse. Missed FGs? Nope. Cornerbacks, starting receivers, rushers - no excuses.
Mitch needs to keep the starting job by demonstrating that this kind of TD production and rating are closer to the median than the mean. I know 3 TDs isn't a reasonable regular expectation. But no more bum-slaying and then abysmal games against good teams. He needs to be performing more like that against the best teams in the league - making you feel like there is hope against good teams. Especially the Packers. Everything else is window dressing.

We had no right to win that game, I thought we looked soft and out of shape. Trubisky stole that one for us and I, for one, am grateful

To me, Swift's drop does not supersede 3 TDs in 11 minutes. The Cooler King wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2020 12:22 pm

Trubisky stole or Swift handed it to them?
I'm leaning towards the latter.
Honestly when it happened live I thought that dude caught the ball, string of F-bombs came pouring out of my mouth

Mitch or Swift - two sides of the same coin, and that coin is "found money"... I'm not going to waste time wondering where it came from - it's found money.

At the end of the first half it was, in a way, his (and Nagy's) job to play defense and they failed. That sequence totally changed the game too.bbaker wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2020 1:25 pmMitch doesn't play defense. The Cooler King wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2020 12:22 pm

For real. Does Bisky need to do a tap dancing routine before the snap to make it legit? This is like winning the lottery and complaining that you had to pay taxes on it.

I'm confused.
Does that mean there's such a thing as neutrally graded pass plays?
Otherwise, his pos rate + neg rate can't add up to more than everyone else.

Yes. My understanding is that typically either a plurality or majority of plays are graded as neutral. No idea of that what the context is though. Like is it a typical 30/40/30 split? 15/70/15 split? Not sure.
Either way, seems accurate for Trubisky's day.
