Bears have been playing their best football of the season since being mathematically eliminated. Vikings are probably a bit more distraught than we are, if that's possible. Seeing as they actually had expectations. They probably care about this game even less. Nagy will want to go out with a win and I think the guys will actually play hard for him while Minnesota just goes through the motions.

I like UOK's prediction, but I'll settle for Bears 23 over Vikings 20.

Two apparently lame duck coaches acting like they still want jobs. Nagy needs to go to a college HC position, while Zimmer will land as an assistant somewhere. Looks like Cousins will play, but may be rusty. Dalton tweaks a hammy and Foles gets in the 2nd qtr. Foles gets knocked silly in the 4th qtr and the Bears run wildcat the rest of the game.

San Francisco has always been my favorite booing city. I don't mean the people boo louder or longer, but there is a very special intimacy. Music, that's what it is to me. One time in Kezar Stadium they gave me a standing boo.

Anything can happen in this one. But I'm thinking on fast home turf, JJ is not going to get held back like in Chicago. The offense will do more than last time. Just not enough.

Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".

Go back to leather helmets, NFL.

As Mikefive says, anything can happen in this one. The Vikings have home field advantage, but what the heck I'm going to be optimistic and opt for the Bears pulling off a win for Nagy in his final game. For as bad as this season and the previous two have been, the players haven't quit on him. I'd feel more confident though if Hicks was out there playing in what will likely be his last game as a Bear. Ah well...

Vikings 17 Bears 13. This one feels like a whole lot of ugly.

But if this truly is the last Nagy game what do you want to see as the last memory?
-Bubble screen for a loss or 1 yard gain
-Too cute of a 4th and 1 or less play with a hard charging Montgomery not carrying the ball not work
-Wildcat formation that’s sniffed out before it begins
-Jet sweep that gets 2 yards or less
-3rd and <10 thrown well short of the marker

GAME DAY BITCHES!!!

As UOK so aptly put in the banner, "It's over, it's finally over." One year of hope and excitement followed by three years of confused, ineffective, and undisciplined offensive football. This is what will eventually come to describe the Nagy era in Chicago. A coach who was clearly in over his head. Well, as of Monday, that comes to a close. Sit back, put the game on, pay attention or don't, I mean who gives a fuck.

WAB, fire up the WAR Room, we've got an offseason to start.

Yes, that was extremely well put by The Boss.

"It's over, it's finally over."

I knew this season was going to be about managing expectations because of Fields' rookie year. Yet that was CLEARLY the least of our problems.

My focus is now on hoping that we land a whale like Harbaugh or Day to be HC. Otherwise, Todd Bowles COME ON DOWN!

Bears win because the league office doesn't want New York to have 4 of the top 10 picks in the 2022 draft...
"I wouldn't take him for a conditional 7th. His next contract will pay him more than he could possibly contribute.".

Noted Brain Genius Malk, Summer 2018.

Man, our offense is as underwhelming as ever. 3rd and 10? Throw for 5. Sure, why not.

Yup, 3 of which was Mooney’s after the catch. The route in and on itself was barbaric. This day cannot end soon enough. Hope is all I can think of.

1st qtr
Glad Gus Johnson is one of the announcers as he is interesting to listen to. Otherwise both D's are playing well, with Blackson wanting to make some money for next season. Glad to see this should be Dalton's last game.

I’d have liked us to throw 5 yards, an improvement over throwing it 0 and wanting them to pick up 10 and get 5.

Why didn't we kick another field goal? Special teams need love too.

So many horizontal routes, at or behind the line of scrimmage, never seen a team do that as often as this team.

It's amazing that the Vikings have the 31st worst defense and so far we've only managed to put up two field goals.

Halftime
Did I say the Viqueens D was playing well? A competent offense would be slicing/dicing them. Instead theh Bears put together a few first downs before stalling out in the red zone. The vet Dalton seems to be making poor decisions. Buh bye Red.

The Bears offensive co-MVP's, Monty and Mooney, keep making plays, keep moving the chains. Besides the brain fart at the end of the first half the Bears D has shut down the Viqueens. Seemed like they played them tough a few weeks ago only to fall short due to the Bears inept O. We'll see what the second half brings.

ARob scored some points! wow
