Not as the HC but to be the OC if we bring in a “defensive guy” to be the HC.
I liked him at LSU and thought he looked good early on with the Panthers, but injuries and getting saddled with Darnild as his QB put him behind the 8 ball.
Yeah this is like item 872 and we are in item 6 but I have this feeling we aren’t going with an offensive guru and was trying to think of who would be a good pairing.
Thoughts on Joe Brady

I have been considering the same thing in terms of OC candidates... I would rank Joe Brady as a top candidate for OC and was reading the following article this morning. If we were to hire a defensive minded HC, Frazier/Bowles/Flores, having a guy like Brady to handle the offensive side of the ball would be intriguing. Seems most on the media have him down as a very good, young offensive coach but seems the negatives are he is not committed to the run and also needs to improve on being too predictable. Conservative was another take and that he should mix it up more in terms of play calling... Some speculate he will return to the college ranks to gain more seasoning while others think he may get a second shot in the NFL.Arkansasbear wrote: ↑Thu Jan 13, 2022 11:34 pm Not as the HC but to be the OC if we bring in a “defensive guy” to be the HC.

Matt Rhule and the Carolina Panthers possibly cost Joe Brady a big opportunity

I loved what he did with Joe Burrow at LSU. Look at Burrow today, it's because of the habits instilled in him by Brady. It might be premature for him to get hired as an OC but I could see QB coach. I'm actually surprised he wasn't considered for any of the coaching vacancies in college this year; if he was, it didn't get any press.

Brady has made it pretty clear that he prefers to coach in the NFL. He went on a couple of HC interviews in college and was terrible - and has no interest in recruiting.Grizzled wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 1:40 pm I loved what he did with Joe Burrow at LSU. He's still a very young guy - and aside from one magical season at LSU with a team loaded with NFL talent he hasn't proven a whole lot. I wouldn't want to bring him in as OC - I'd like a guy with a little more of a resume to work with Fields.
Holy Shit - We got Justin Fields!

He was on Payton's staff at New Orleans as an offensive assistant. He needs more NFL seasoning.Hiphopopotamos wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 2:37 pmGrizzled wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 1:40 pm I loved what he did with Joe Burrow at LSU.
