I agree with hoping Rodgers stays so he can be rightfully vanquished the way Favre eventually was.
I have a lot of friends who are Titans fans since I live here in TN. Did you know that Andrew Luck was 11-0 all time against TN?
Never lost to them once. It still eats at them how he retired with a perfect record against their team. They were in a way happy to see him go, but never got any sense of revenge.

I guess I don't care if Rodgers stays one more year and they beat him twice or whatever. That doesn't change the last 13 years and his 25-5 record against the Bears. Sweeping the Packers on his way out of town isn't revenge. Establishing a new culture of a decade long era of dominance against the Packers matters more to me than beating Aaron Rodgers.Burl wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 2:12 pm I agree with hoping Rodgers stays so he can be rightfully vanquished the way Favre eventually was.

I’d like to see Rodgers sent “packing”.
I’d like the bears to end his dreams of anther playoff run.

I don't know if he's done, but there sure are a lot of great tweets about him included in this piece:

I did find it interesting that since 2017 he and Bortles are tied with 2 playoff wins.

That's great. A friend of mine said he asked his wife if the Packers would make the NFC Championship game, cheesehead "no."
(in case it's not clear read cheesehead as "she said")

My boss (also from IL) sent me a text today that read:
"Don’t celebrate too soon Bears fans. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers can still make it to the Super Bowl if Mike Pence has enough courage"

The reason I dont see him going to Denver is then he would be in a division with Mahomes and Herbert and even a lesser extent Carr. I think he has gotten so used to owning a division I could see him in Carolina. A division without Brees..without Brady ( maybe ) , an aging Ryan..
Deep down I dont think he wants ultimate competition, I think he wants the easy path
Fantasy Team: Peanut Punchers
Nah. He will come back for multiple seasons and burn us.
He's like f'n plague that will never go away. Not to mention, keeps teasing us that he will.
I am sick of that team and him "owning" us. I will believe he is gone when I see it, though.

I also want to see this. I want to see Rodgers face a fully active and operational BEAR STAR! And to simply annihilate him. But if that's not in Green Bay, that's okay too. Remember, we didn't get Favre until he was on his second team after the Packers. But we still put him away. And that's good too. I just hope he doesn't retire. I want our shot at him again. Karma can be sweet.Burl wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 2:12 pm I agree with hoping Rodgers stays so he can be rightfully vanquished the way Favre eventually was.

I wouldn't mind seeing him hang around just for kicks - but after his epic performance against the 49ers, I believe he is going to have to find another nest - hopefully it's in the NFC.
Oh my lord can you imagine Bears knocking his ass out of the playoffs again pretty soon just like SF did..

San Francisco has always been my favorite booing city. I don't mean the people boo louder or longer, but there is a very special intimacy. Music, that's what it is to me. One time in Kezar Stadium they gave me a standing boo.

It just dawned on me. If Cutler doesn’t hurt his in knee in the playoffs, Erin would have ZERO rings.

He be a step below. Marino lost in the Super Bowl his rookie year. If Cutler didn't get hurt, Erin would not have ever played in a Super Bowl.dplank wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 10:18 pmHe’d be Dan Marino.Arkansasbear wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 9:44 pm It just dawned on me. While my brain says I should want Rodgers as far away from the NFCN as possible, the meatball in me wants him to stay in Green Bay and I want the Bears to (finally) get the best of him in a tangible way.
Technically, 2019 SHOULD have been the year the Bears officially turned the corner against him. They FINALLY beat the Packers & Aaron Rodgers in Chicago in 2018. In the 2019 opener, they held him to 10 points. And lost. This was the second time they lost to an Aaron Rodgers led team 10-3. They only surrendered 21 points in their second loss against the Packers in 2019, with the offense managing a whopping 13 points. In the NFC championship game, the Bears (only) surrendered 14 points (the third TD was a BJ Raji interception return).
The Bears inept/incompetent offense has been as much a culprit in Aaron Rodgers "owning them" as anything else.

Totally agree here. Look guys, we can sweep GB the next 3 years, with Rodgers as their QB, and it won't change his career narrative vs. the Bears. He owned us, 100% full stop. His record against us is insane and a few wins at the very end won't change that. So I say, GTFOH Rodgers, go torment someone else.wulfy wrote: ↑Tue Feb 15, 2022 11:42 amYou guys are nuts .... let the Witch leave and never darken our door again.Yogi da Bear wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 9:05 pm

Agree with @wab and @dplank. As satisfying it will be to beat him, not only does he still have a legacy that you can't change, but a win against someone past their prime puts an asterisk on it.
I'm just hoping we have a chance for the Packers to dislike Fields in the coming years as much as we dislike Rodgers.

Okay, then - I never thought about the asterisk for being past his prime. That's interesting, maybe like stomping an old fart who should have been stomped 20 years ago.Xee wrote: ↑Wed Feb 16, 2022 12:24 pm Agree with @wab and @dplank. Supposing he goes to an NFC team so we can still play him post-season - maybe the Bears could slam the legacy door shut in his facemask, minus the asterisk.
Would that not bring you joy?

This would be the best revenge. Way better than beating Rodgers once or twice before he retires.
Packers fans loathing Justin Fields for a decade would make my heart happy.
