The following guys are still available:
OT: Bernard Raimann, Tyler Smith
OG: Kenyon Green
DT: Logan Hall, DeMarvin Leal, Perrion Winfrey
WR: Skyy Moore, George Pickens
CB: Kaiir Elam, Kyler Gordon
What are you doing? Or do you trade down if a decent one is offered giving a lower 2nd, a 3rd, and a 4th?
I'm leaning towards Smith or one of the WRs.
If you have another guy, throw out the name.

If I'm getting a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th for 39, I'm probably trading down and taking Hall 48.
Otherwise, one of Green/Pickens/Smith/Raimann (probably in that order)

1. Trade down. At least one of the guys on your list will be there at 48, and there's a decent opportunity to double up.
2. Pickens

If I have a Day 1 grade on one of those guys, I draft him at 39 and don't get cute.
I don't have any of those guys ranked as a Day 1 dude so I'd explore trades. (Elam is the highest ranked of those guys to me, so if no trade seems worthwhile he'd probably be my pick.)

I'm trading down in this scenario. I'm of the opinion Hall and/or Winfrey would be there at 48.
I love Pickens' talent, but there are just so many red flags popping up on this kid.

I'm trading down. I just don't see Poles missing the opportunity to get more picks (a stated intent) to draft a RG in the 2nd when he can get one a bit later. I think Pole's situation and mentality on the Oline is his first priority was to solidify at center where JF1 needs the best situation possible. And then after that his moves for this offseason and next are going to be driven by the outcome of his evaluation of Jenkins and Borom. Sure, it looks like RG is a top need. But if either Jenk or Borom end up looking more like a G to him he's not going to stack them at the cost of missing out on other needs. So my thinking is he IS going to draft a G but not necessarily in the 2nd or even 3rd. A trade down at 39 for more firepower is just what the doctor ordered.
Especially with that list of players left and safe assumptions that other players they like are then also available (e.g. Pierce and others). I do think he's going to trade down and then pick a WR a CB a 3T and maybe even a S before he picks a G to pencil in for '22. I think he's incredibly confident he can get the OL starters he wants for this season for his longer-term purposes, and still protect JF1 not just adequately but well.

What interests me is: what players with 1st round grades that the Bears DON'T want will fall to 39? That's the only way another team will want to trade up with good terms.
