I procrastinated long enough. Here it is. No, I didn't do any trades...it's too much of a pain. Yes, I know it's not realistic.

Round 1

1. Jacksonville : Evan Neal - OT - Alabama
This entire offseason has been about Trevor Lawrence. Why stop now?

2. Detroit : Aidan Hutchinson - EDGE - Michigan
Don't overthink this one Detroit.

3. Houston : Kayvon Thibodeaux - EDGE - Oregon
He's a perfect fit for Lovie Smith and the Tampa 2.

4. NY Jets : Ahmad Gardner - CB - Cincinnati
The Jets could go any number of ways, but Sauce is a great pick at a position of need.

5. NY Giants : Malik Willis - QB - Liberty
SURPRISE! No one is talking about how the Giants didn't pick up the 5th year option on Jones. Daboll has no allegiance to him.

6. Carolina : Kenny Pickett - QB - Pittsburgh
Pickett seems to be the favorite for the Panthers right now. He'll push Darnold right away.

7. NY Giants f/CHI : Jameson Williams - WR - Alabama
He's the best WR in the draft. He's still rehabbing, but he won't have to play right away.

8. Atlanta : Kyle Hamilton - S - Notre Dame
Atlanta is rebuilding, so just take good players and figure it out later. He can play all over the field.

9. Seattle f/DEN : Charles Cross - OT - Mississippi State
By all accounts, they seem to actually like Drew Lock. They need to protect him though, and Cross is the best pure pass blocker in the draft.

10. NY Jets f/SEA : Travon Walker - EDGE - Georgia
Walker could go #1 or he could slide. The Jets would be happy to get him here - HOWEVER - this pick could get traded for Deebo.

11. Washington : Garrett Wilson - WR - Ohio State
The Commanders have some decisions to make at WR. Curtis Samuel hasn't panned out and there's a storm brewing around McLaurin's contract.

12. Minnesota : Jermaine Johnson - EDGE - Florida State
This will be a tough decision with Stingley on the board, but I think they go with the local kid who gets compared to Chase Young.

13. Houston f/CLE : Derek Stingley Jr. - CB - LSU
Another perfect fit for Lovie Smith.

14. Baltimore : Ikem Ekwonu - OT - NC State
I don't know if anyone has him falling out of the top 10, but I think a lot of teams see him as a guard. He'd step right in for Bradley Bozeman.

15. Philadelphia f/MIA : Chris Olave - WR - Ohio State
Olave is a smooth route runner with an impressive catch radius. They may not be sold on Jalen Hurts, but he won't lack of weapons.

16. New Orleans f/IND : Devin Lloyd - LB - Utah
After a decade of focusing on the offense, it's time to rebuild the defense under new HC Dan Quinn.

17. LA Chargers : Kenyon Green - OT - Texas A&M
Green has seen his stock go up and down, but he can play all across the OL and gives the Chargers flexibility after losing Bulaga to retirement.

18. Philadelphia f/NO : Trent McDuffie - CB - Washington
I think McDuffie is a top 10 talent. People knock him for his short arms for some silly reason, but the kid is a baller.

19. New Orleans f/PHI : Devonte Wyatt - DL - Georgia
More weapons for a defense that needs more pressure on the QB from the middle. Cam Jordan can't do it all.

20. Pittsburgh : Treylon Burks - WR - Arkansas
If they are really sold on Mitch, they need to give him big bodied WR's that can go up and get the ball. He and Claypool, with Diontae Johnson, will be a nice set of weapons.

21. New England : Tyler Linderbaum - OL - Iowa
I hate trying to mock players to the Pats because you never know what they will do, but this feels very Patriots-y. David Andrews can kick over to guard.

22. Green Bay f/LV : Kaiir Elam - CB - Florida
They haven't taken a WR in the 1st round in 20 years. They do take corners. Like a lot. Elam is the perfect man-cover guy for their defense.

23. Arizona : George Karlaftis - EDGE - Purdue
Chandler Jones was a huge part of their defense. Karlafits is an underrated edge rusher in a deep class of them.

24. Dallas : Zion Johnson - OL - Boston College
Perfect player at a needs-meets-value spot. He can play all three interior positions and can fill in at LT in a pinch.

25. Buffalo : Andrew Booth Jr. - CB - Clemson
The Bills don't have a ton of needs, so this draft becomes about depth. Booth is a tremendous value here.

26. Tennessee : Trevor Penning - OT - Northern Iowa
If Penning is still here, the Titans should be thrilled. They've been trying to fill the RT spot for what seems like a decade now.

27. Tampa Bay : Daxton Hill - S - Michigan
This is a popular pick for the Bucs. I can see the appeal. Todd Bowles values versatility in his defensive backs and prioritizes the safety position everywhere he goes.

28. Green Bay : Bernhard Raimann - OT - Central Michigan
The Packers have had a revolving door at RT since moving on from Bryan Bulaga. Raimann is pretty new to the game, but his potential is through the roof.

29. Kansas City f/SF : Jordan Davis - DL - Georgia
I don't know if he falls this far, just based on pure raw talent alone, but the perception of him as a player are all over the place. Can you imagine him next to Chris Jones though. Yikes.

30. Kansas City : Drake London - WR - USC
It seems like the Chiefs are moving away from the smaller speedster types and feel like Mahomes works better with guys with a large catch radius. London and MVS on the outside with JuJu in the slot is pretty intimidating. Oh, and they still have Hardman.

31. Cincinnati : Kyler Gordon - CB - Washington
Now that the Bengals feel comfortable with the OL, they can fill in some missing pieces on defense.

32. Detroit f/LAR : Matt Corral - QB - Ole Miss
I think Corral could go as high as 11, but here he is. The Lions don't need him right away, but getting the 5th year option on a QB is important.

Round 2

33. Jacksonville : Nakobe Dean - LB - Georgia
34. Detroit : Jaquan Brisker - S - Penn State
35. NY Jets : Breece Hall - RB - Iowa State
36. NY Giants : Tyler Smith - OT - Tulsa
37. Houston : Perrion Winfrey - DL - Oklahoma
38. NY Jets f/CAR : Christian Watson - WR - North Dakota State

39. Chicago : George Pickens - WR - Georgia
The draft just keeps falling in a way that Pickens is available here, and it would be criminal if the Bears didn't take him. He's one of the few true X receivers in the draft and plays the position like a linebacker. I get real Chad Johnson vibes from him.

40. Seattle f/DEN : Desmond Ridder - QB - Cincinnati
41. Seattle : Cole Strange - OL - Chattanooga
42. Indianapolis f/WASH : Alec Pierce - WR - Cincinnati
43. Atlanta : Travis Jones - DL - UConn
44. Cleveland : Jahan Dotson - WR - Penn State
45. Baltimore : Chad Muma - LB - Wyoming
46. Minnesota : Trey McBride - TE - Colorado State
47. Washington f/IND : Lewis Cine - S - Georgia

48. Chicago f/LAC : Luke Goedeke - OT - Central Michigan
No one is talking about him, but man, you can't help but fall in love with him when you watch his tape. He's a former TE that plays with a surly attitude. He played RT at Central Michigan, but he's a perfect fit inside for the Bears at RG. People are over the moon for his teammate Bernhard Raimann, but Goedeke has better instincts and more natural feel for the game IMO.

This is "my guy" in the 2022 NFL draft.

49. New Orleans : Zach Tom - OL - Wake Forest
50. Kansas City f/MIA : David Ojabo - EDGE - Michigan
51. Philadelphia : Boye Mafe - EDGE - Minnesota
52. Pittsburgh : Sam Howell - QB - North Carolina
53. Green Bay f/LV : Skyy Moore - WR - Western Michigan
54. New England : Roger McCreary - CB - Auburn
55. Arizona : Braxton Jones - OT - Southern Utah
56. Dallas : DeMarvin Leal - DL - Texas A&M
57. Buffalo : Kenneth Walker III - RB - Michigan State
58. Atlanta f/TEN : Jalen Tolbert - WR - South Alabama
59. Green Bay : Greg Dulcich - TE - UCLA
60. Tampa Bay : Arnold Ebiketie - EDGE - Penn State
61. San Francisco : Martin Emerson - CB - Mississippi State
62. Kansas City : Jalen Pitre - S - Baylor
63. Cincinnati : Cameron Thomas - EDGE - San Diego State
64. Denver f/LAR : Cade Otton - TE - Washington

Round 3

65. Jacksonville : James Cook - RB - Georgia
66. Detroit : Troy Andersen - LB - Montana State
67. NY Giants : Jelani Woods - TE - Virginia
68. Houston : Isaiah Spiller - RB - Texas A&M
69. NY Jets : Daniel Faalele - OT - Minnesota
70. Jacksonville f/CAR : Phidarian Mathis - DL - Alabama

71. Chicago : Brian Asamoah - LB - Oklahoma
Going through this exercise, I came to realize that this is a really deep and talented LB class, and Asamoah is one of my favorites. He's a twitchy athlete with incredible explosion for his size. He's missile on the field, and the only thing wrong with him is that he's the size of a big safety - but good thing the Bears are in the market for speedy undersized linebackers. If the Bears decide to keep Roquan in the middle, Asamoah fits perfectly on the weak side as a day one starter (although he can play any of the three).

72. Seattle : Tariq Woolen - CB - UTSA
73. Indianapolis f/WASH : Max Mitchell - OT - Louisiana
74. Atlanta : Jack Coan - QB - Notre Dame
75. Denver : Leo Chenal - LB - Wisconsin
76. Baltimore : Bryan Cook - S - Cincinnati
77. Minnesota : Marcus Jones - CB - Houston
78. Cleveland : Josh Paschal - EDGE - Kentucky
79. LA Chargers : John Metchie III - WR - Alabama
80. Houston f/NO : Dylan Parham - OL - Memphis
81. NY Giants f/MIA : Alontae Taylor - CB - Tennessee
82. Atlanta f/IND : Nik Bonitto - EDGE - Oklahoma
83. Philadelphia : Sean Rhyan - OL - UCLA
84. Pittsburgh : Christian Harris - LB - Alabama
85. New England : Khalil Shakir - WR - Boise State
86. Las Vegas : Quay Walker - LB - Georgia
87. Arizona : Calvin Austin lll - WR - Memphis
88. Dallas : Nicholas Petit-Frere - OT - Ohio State
89. Buffalo : Matthew Butler - DL - Tennessee
90. Tennessee : Drake Jackson - EDGE - USC
91. Tampa Bay : Luke Fortner - OL - Kentucky
92. Green Bay : David Bell - WR - Purdue
93. San Francisco : Tyquan Thornton - WR - Baylor
94. Kansas City : Mario Goodrich - CB - Clemson
95. Cincinnati : Nick Cross - S - Maryland
96. Denver f/LAR : Logan Hall - EDGE - Houston
97. Detroit : Jamaree Salyer - OL - Georgia
98. New Orleans : Jeremy Ruckert - TE - Ohio State
99. Cleveland : Mykael Wright - CB - Oregon
100. Baltimore : Abraham Lucas - OT - Washington State
101. Philadelphia f/NO : Damone Clark - LB - LSU
102. Miami f/SF : Channing Tindall - LB - Georgia
103. Kansas City : Darian Kinnard - OL - Kentucky
104. LA Rams : Deangelo Malone - EDGE - Western Kentucky
105. San Francisco : Logan Bruss - OL - Wisconsin

Round 4

106. Jacksonville : Chasen Hines - OL - LSU
107. Houston f/DET : Zamir White - RB - Georgia
108. Houston : Rasheed Walker - OT - Penn State
109. Seattle f/NYJ : Daniel Hardy - EDGE - Montana State

Round 5

144. Carolina f/JAX : Alec Lindstrom - OL - Boston College
145. Denver f/DET : Rachaad White - RB - Arizona State
146. NY Jets : Quentin Lake - S - UCLA
147. NY Giants : Kyren Williams - RB - Notre Dame

148. Chicago f/HOU : Damarri Mathis - S - Pittsburgh
Matthis is one of those pure potential projections. He was a part time player as a freshman and sophomore and then missed then entire 2020 season with a shoulder injury. He came back strong in 2021 and earned all ACC honors. Scouts are split on if he's a safety or a corner. I like him as a safety behind Ejax. He's compact, strong, and isn't afraid to tackle. He offers a ton of long term versatility if a team is willing to be patient.

149. Carolina : Isaiah Likely - TE - Coastal Carolina

150. Chicago : Dominique Robinson - EDGE - Miami (OH)
Robinson is my other "my guy" in the draft and there's a really good chance that he's gone long before this pick. Working in the Bears favor is that he's still learning to play defense after converting to defense after starting as a QB and then moving to WR. He has a lot to learn, but man, his potential is out there. Even though I doubt they trade Quinn during the draft, they still need depth at edge rusher.

151. Atlanta : Eric Ezukanma - WR - Texas Tech
152. Seattle f/DEN : Thayer Munford - OL - Ohio State
153. Seattle : Haskell Garrett - DL - Ohio State
154. Philadelphia f/WASH : Sterling Weatherford - S - Miami (OH)
155. Dallas f/CLE : Isaiah Thomas - EDGE - Oklahoma
156. Minnesota f/BAL : Tycen Anderson - S - Toledo
157. Jacksonville f/MIN : Kyle Philips - WR - UCLA
158. New England f/MIA : Kellen Diesch - OT - Arizona State
159. Indianapolis : Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa - EDGE - Notre Dame
160. LA Chargers : Jayden Peevy - DL - Texas A&M
161. New Orleans : Damarion Williams - CB - Houston
162. Philadelphia : Dustin Crum - QB - Kent State
163. NY Jets f/PIT : Joshua Ezeudu - OL - North Carolina
164. Las Vegas f/NE : Josh Williams - CB - Fayetteville State
165. Las Vegas : Skylar Thompson - QB - Kansas State

177. Detroit : Romeo Doubs - WR - Nevada
178. Dallas : Verone McKinley III - S - Oregon
179. Indianapolis : Justin Shaffer - OL - Georgia

Round 6

180. Jacksonville : Marquis Hayes - OL - Oklahoma
181. Detroit : Pierre Strong Jr. - RB - South Dakota State
182. NY Giants : Neil Farrell - DT - LSU
183. Houston : Cam Jurgens - OL - Nebraska
184. Minnesota f/NYJ : Akayleb Evans - CB - Missouri
185. Buffalo f/CAR : Alex Wright - EDGE - UAB

186. Chicago : Eric Johnson - DL - Missouri State
I've been mocking Johnson to the Bears for months now, and it was nice to see that they brought him in for a visit. His strong senior bowl helps push him into the bottom part of the draft even though his tape is pretty...meh. But he has the build, strength and attitude that makes it worth taking a chance on him.

187. San Francisco f/DEN : Cade Mays - OL - Tennessee
188. Jacksonville f/SEA : Dareke Young - WR - Lenoir Rhyne

214. Atlanta : Obinna Eze - OT - TCU
215. LA Chargers : Nick Grant - S - Virginia
216. Arizona : Zyon McCullum - CB - Sam Houston State
217. Indianapolis : John Fitzpatrick - TE - Georgia
218. Detroit : Vincent Gray - CB - Michigan
219. LA Rams : Daniel Bellinger - TE - San Diego State
220. Tennessee : Jalyn Armour-Davis - CB - Alabama
221. San Francisco : Markquese Bell - S - Florida A&M

Brother you know I love George Pickens at pick #39, I think he's a true-blue X and will be our WR1 before it's all said and done.

Question... if Perrion Winfrey and George Pickens were both there at #39, what would your pick have been?

I think I'm still taking Pickens.

I just don't see how Lovie Smith doesn't come out of this draft with his new Tommie Harris.

Unless he's completely sold on Devonte Wyatt, yeah.

Wab: when you do this, where is your BPA-need slider for other team's picks. Does it vary by team or round? If it's all from the gut, how do you think your gut thinks?

Basically I start by ranking the top 20 or so prospects at each position, then I rank each team’s need after the first wave of FA. Then when I’m doing the mock, and two players come up for a team that the team needs, I usually slot the guy ranked higher unless it’s a glaring need.

I try to have 4-5 guys for each team that I can pick from in every round. But sometimes I get tired halfway through around 5 and wing it from there. There’s a little bit of that in here.

Last year the Packers got my favorite player in the draft in Eric Stokes. Watched a lot of his games and liked the way he played.

Now you Mock Sky Moore to them! 🤢

I’m a little underwhelmed by Asamoah. Think I would prefer Chenal for the ru support, but that quibbling.
I will kill you if you cut me at the knees. You will drink with me when invited and stay til I say so. We only listen to American Music. I make men nervous with just my presence. I expect an apology if you hold. I throw linemen at QB's. Believe the Lore!

The rest of us do a Chicago Bears mock. Only Wab does a 7 rounder for the entire league. Enjoyable reading.

Love it WAB thanks for putting in the work!

As for the picks, I like them all. Lots of upside and attitude on these players. Brandon Thorn also likes Goedeke so that’s extra encouraging .

Nice job, guys. I love Pickens as a Brandon Marshall type for JF1.

Personally I'm going to get CB as the other 2nd rounder and OL in the 4th. But no regerts.
