Sanborn will make this team. Good back up lb who will do well on special teams.

Chase Allen is a good pick up too.

Master Teague is an interesting name. What happened to that guy?

Really excited about Chase Allen. Seems like I've been including him in early mock drafts for three years now, only to see him go back to school. This year for graduate studies in engineering at a top-notch program. Between him and Horsted, we'll have the best hair covering the biggest brains of any TE corps in the league.

Sanborn could be big on ST (lord almighty, our STs will be improved this year), and looks like he could be a solid SLB candidate.

My own personal favorite, Jequez Ezzard, signed--sniff, sniff--with Washington.

Sanborn has a good chance to make roster. Practice squad at minimum, and then slide into the 53 man next year as many of the current LB are on one year deals.

Everyone else, hard to say. So far Allen is the only other guy that had a combine invite. I've been trying to pull down scouting reports and a lot of these guys don't have tons of info out there on them. There were a lot of high profile/combine guys not drafted. Wonder if having 11 picks is bunting some interest as guys see more crowded competition in many spots.

WR is still lacking, will have to dig and see if there are any interesting names unsigned, but interesting in the post draft presser, Poles mentioned a multitude of ways to add to the roster, including trades.

Probably.

Kevin Shaa is a washed-in-hot-water version of Velus Jones Jr. — less size, less speed.
Savon Scarver is the homeless man's version of Velus Jones Jr. — less size, less speed, less production.

Cyrus Holder was dismissed from the St. Francis football team in the summer of 2019 and didn't play that season before ending up at Duquesne. Does have size and speed.
That's more than you an say for Landon Lenoir, who doesn't really have either. Neither Holder nor Lenoir offer anything as a returner.

Luke Little has size, too, but runs and moves like a linebacker.

Henry Litwin is at least interesting because he had excellent production at D2 Slippery Rock, which is better than everyone else on this list. His size and speed are pedestrian by NFL standards, though his agility scores are above average.

As for the rest:

Jack Sanborn had a draftable grade from me. Not as fast or as long as Matt Eberflus likes his LBs to be (that arm length is 31.5, per Dane Brugler), but that's part of why he went undrafted; and he diagnoses quickly which helps make up for some of that. He had three solid years of production in the B1G Ten, and might make the 53-man roster, considering who he's competing against.
Christian Albright was a guy on my UDFA list. He fits the Eberflus profile pretty well. He was moved around a bit at Ball State so his production is spotty, and he'll need to learn to play moving laterally and backward to have a chance. Looks like a practice squad candidate.
Tristen Taylor is another guy on my UDFA list. I freely admit, I've not seen any Eastern Washington game tape — this one is solely based on his pro day numbers and the Planet Theory: someone that size who can move that well is rare enough to take a look.
Jaylon Jones played a safety/corner hybrid in college. He's got some speed and NFL-level athleticism . Has had some injury issues, but he might be a good practice squad candidate.
CJ Avery had a decently productive career at Louisville and shows some length and NFL-level explosion. Might also have a chance at the PS.
Jean Delance is athletic and nasty, and started 37 games for Florida after decommiting from Oklahoma and then transferring from Texas. He had draftable grades on NFL.com and TDN, and a PFA grade on SI.com. He appears to lack strength and might be too short to stick at tackle, but might be able to make it at guard. Looks like another guy for the practice squad.
Jaylan Alexander was an early draft crush of mine. He didn't run well at his pro day, but he looks faster than that to me on game day. His 2020 and 2021 stats are solid, particularly 2021. I wonder if he's one of those guys who just plays good football despite how he tests. I don't know that he'll ever be more than a backup with those measurables, but I'm rooting for him.
Jon Alexander is a transfer from Kansas State who played an oversized safety/undersized linebacker, neither particularly well. Neither his athleticism nor his production stand out.
Chase Allen is tall and long, but also slow and weak (11 bench press reps? really?). Played behind Ravens draftee Charlie Kolar.
Derick Bush is a slow DB — he's got experience at both CB and S — who had good ball production in his 2020 season.
Allie Green is a slow-running Tulsa transfer who was an anemic tackler in the AAC and got worse at it in the SEC.
Master Teague III strikes me as a classic tease. He has fine physical talent but dreadful production and contributed next to nothing on special teams. This one all depends on how you feel about bench guys at powerhouse schools. I'm not a fan, myself, but I can see how others might be.
Jake Tonges is a decent athlete without much to show for it at Cal.
No idea what to think of Micah Dew-Treadway. I couldn't figure out why I didn't know the name, but understood better when I looked him up. I don't see anything special here physically either, to be honest.

Following up here: i spoke too soon when I said that Henry Litwin exceeded the production of the rest of his fellow rookie receivers. I glanced at raw numbers and didn't take the time to look at team totals. Mea culpa.

Cyrus Holder had some ridiculous production in his three years as a starter, one at St. Francis (2019) and two at Duquesne (2020-21), which is the sort of dominance you want to see from an FCS player. There's a significant caveat, here, though: Holder was born 3/29/1997, meaning his breakout season in 2018 (43.5% of St. Francis' passing yardage that season) was at age 21, while his follow-up seasons at Duquesne (41.4% of team receiving yards in 2020 and 33.8% in 2021) were at 23 and 24. His age (and possibly the violation of St. Francis team rules that got him dismissed/made him transfer) is most likely why he was a UDFA.

By comparison, Litwin's age 20 season was his first big jump in production (23.5% of team receiving yards) and his age 21 and age 23 seasons — he turns 24 on June 1 — were 32.7% of team receiving yards and 25.1%, respectively. That's less impressive and at a lower level, but also a year younger for all of them. He also lacks Holder's size and athleticism, so it's obvious why he wasn't drafted too.

(This is why age must be a factor — not the factor, but a factor — when considering prospects: when players are older at their breakout points, it frequently means they are physically more developed than the players they're going against, which does not happen in the NFL.)

Well, technically they signed them on Thursday, and released the list on Friday.

So in essence, they did release the names of all the UDFA’s they signed on Thursday, on Friday.

Nice work on the UDFA crop guys. That took some effort and it's appreciated.

It probably makes sense that any of these guys who show they at least have NFL level physical traits coupled with some upside will get a long look and will probably be targeted for a spot on the PS. Beyond that only a couple like Sanborn and maybe Allen look as if they have much chance of making the final roster but you never know if only because of what "Flus" and Poles value most.

Tuggle is a former JUCO player and another guy with experience returning kicks, while Thomas looks like a more athletic, more productive of Jon Alexander.

Carson Taylor is kind of interesting, a fairly productive edge rusher at the FCS level with decent athleticism.

Just may say something to get cut after one minicamp. Wouldn't be surprised if the list of each is "guys who showed up most prepared" and "guys who showed up least prepared". Regardless of skill. Set an expectation.

I had zero expectations for Teague, largely because even at Alabama guys who want to play flash somewhere.

I could have been wrong. Hell, I could still be wrong. I didn't expect much, but I admittedly expected more than one minicamp.
