Appears we start at home vs Lions 1PM EST, FOX

Further down there’s the complete schedule allegedly leaked on Reddit which contradicts Week 1.

For what it’s worth. Hope it’s true.

If that schedule is accurate, we could be 5-1 going into the bye, and 5-5 by week 11 and then be 8-8 playing the Vikes in the season finale.
I will kill you if you cut me at the knees. You will drink with me when invited and stay til I say so. We only listen to American Music. I make men nervous with just my presence. I expect an apology if you hold. I throw linemen at QB's. Believe the Lore!

Well...it has to be close to accurate, right?

I'm talking order. We could win 5 then lose 5. Go from euphoria to severe let down on the whim of the schedule.
Anything can happen in the NFL and a team that gels early can overcome a team they're supposed to lose to on paper, especially with luck, weather and injuries.
But on paper, that schedule would get everyone clamoring only see the bottom fall out.

Nah. The teams are set in stone, but that's all that has to be right from any of these leaks. Every year, there's schedule leaks for the Bears about now. They're usually pure BS. Then, like one leak the day of the release show will get it right or close to.

Also, Bears are T-24 in strength of schedule (135-152-2, .471)

I don't pretend to be a scout, but the thing I like about this is that he appears to be a muscular lower half, power/explosion type runner. More like a Tyreke Hill than a Willie Gault if that makes sense - both super fast but different.

IMO the Bears are going to have to be almost historically bad to not win 6-8 games.

I'm still thinking 6 wins because Wentz maybe won't have imploded before week 6 and I'm worried about the health of the team going into that week 10-12 stretch where you want to give the Bears at least 2 wins. We don't have starters to spare in many places on offense. Particularly we need the oline to hold together against the Lions D and the Bears are beyond thin.

Ok fine I'll commit to my "late season collapse due to lack of depth" narrative

Startling, for sure.

Without studying a schedule, I'm thinking maybe they do:

4 teams a week on bye x 8 weeks = 32 byes

weeks 7-14 = 8 weeks

I hate starting 0-2 but we certainly will. Although Week 1 is always a bit weird, and if they start Lance maybe he stinks it up and we steal one.

A Sunday night game playing the Pukers has to be one of my least favorite broadcasts. We'll get the historical angle and a whole bunch of Lombardi and the 60's teams, with the Bears history as an afterthought. After Collinsworth has smeared his lips sufficiently puke green and mustard yellow, he'll get going on his mancrush over Erin and how great he is. In spite of only one SB win and all those conference championship losses.

I hope the Pukers D struggles with Fields and crew running all over them.
San Francisco has always been my favorite booing city. I don't mean the people boo louder or longer, but there is a very special intimacy. Music, that's what it is to me. One time in Kezar Stadium they gave me a standing boo.

I can’t WAIT for the Packers game.
I’ve been waiting to smash 7 bells out of them for many years and it’s going to be a great night.

Ah. Turns out I was very close.

6-14, and sometimes they only do 2/week

Some optimists up in this thread. I, on other hand, think the schedule is so front loaded we may have 7-8 losses by the time we play the Falcons, and then again before we close out the season’s last 2 games.

Finally get to see them in Atlanta (was disabled in 2016, no-fan game in 2020).

Well, I'm bumping this thread back up to the top post week 1, after our unlikely victory over the Niners.

Keeping in mind that Dak Prescott is having surgery on his thumb and most likely won't be available to go for the Cowboys in week 8, and Mac Jones just injured his back and his timetable to return is uncertain. Additionally the Packers are off to their slow start, and Rogers looks lost without Adams running free in the secondary. I think that the Vikings win the NFC North this year.

This is where I am at now;
