Even the younger guys not familiar with Pic and Sayers acknowledged the special bond forged between them.

People forget that Pic was a pretty good college back. I believe he was even considered for a Heisman his senior year.
He went undrafted and wound up signing with a team that had just drafted one of the greatest running backs in NFL history.
