I've always been into the global reach of football which you can see with how many countries have football programs of their own.
Since 2016, the NFL has sent scouts to check out these teams, hold combines, and select players they think might be able to make it onto an NFL team. These players are then assigned to a randomly selected division where each team in that division gets a practice squad exemption to carry an extra player.
Every year the number of international players has grown, from 3 in 2016 to 13 for 2022. A list of the players to be assigned (and their positions) can be seen here:

In past years, the division is picked shortly after the draft so this week we should see if the NFC North gets picked.
