Having played physical games of late, Eberflus switched up this week's practice schedule, holding a walkthrough Wednesday.

"That's where he is right now and again we'll assess that as we go through the week," Eberflus said. "He's feeling pretty good and we'll see where it goes from there."

The rest of the week will consist of a shortened Thanksgiving Day practice and a regular Friday workout in advance of Sunday's road game against the Jets.

The Bears decided not to have a regular practice the day before a holiday-shortened practice in a week where they are probably/hopefully starting the backup QB for the first time??

UPDATE: Saleh announced on Wednesday that Wilson is being benched in favor of Mike White, who will start for the Jets against Chicago. Wilson will be inactive on Sunday. The move became inevitable amid New York's locker room bubbling over with frustration. There's no guarantee White will flip the switch, but vaguely competent play under center would serve as a tangible lift across from a Super Bowl-level defense. As for Wilson, his career is young, but it's fair to wonder if he'll ever start another game for the Jets.

The fact that he's not even going to be active for the game is a quite extraordinary fall from grace for a 2nd overall pick in his 2nd year. Then again, this is the Jets...

Wow, it's almost Cleveland-esque with the QB's for the Jets. Not even having Wilson active for the game, that's gotta hurt.

Speaking of injury, the latest injury report shows Teven FP, Justin LP and the rookie DB's DNP (concussions). Don't know how close they are to clearing protocol, but if they lose both it could get ugly even if the White guy is under center. Irregardless, the Bears rushing attack comes alive with a traditional QB running play action, the short passing game keeps the Jets D off balance, and Sanborn takes a bite of the Big Apple.

Mike White's been around for about 4 years although not all with the Jets. He actually had a few monster games when he started a year or 2 ago. I think the Jets will be putting out extra effort on offense Sunday to stick it to Wilson.
