I'm thinking Tim Boyle should have a good shit at winning the 3rd QB spot.

I'm leaving my original prediction in place, but the Bears might not score a point.

Gametime weather: high of 36 and sunny.
The DB rookies come back and get a pick 6. Monty rambles for a TD and Kmet knocks over Amos into the endzone.
Bears 24
Pukers 20

San Francisco has always been my favorite booing city. I don't mean the people boo louder or longer, but there is a very special intimacy. Music, that's what it is to me. One time in Kezar Stadium they gave me a standing boo.

I secretly wanted to see Nathan Peterson. I think there's something wrong with me.

I might be the only one who wants to see Fields play against the Packers.
Part of it has to do with my avatar and sig, but I think it would be good juju for him and the team to beat the fucking Packers this week.
**This does NOT mean I want him to be running 15 times a game or taking unnecessary hits**

We currently hold the #2 pick in the draft, and it would be madness to lose it. I hope our coaching staff can find some terrible play calls if it looks like we are in danger of winning.

Even if they lose, they will lose the #2 pick after the bye week unless the Broncos and Rams win because they’ve had their byes and the Bears haven’t and the Bears would lose the tiebreaker to them.VA_Mountain_Bear wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 5:22 pm We currently hold the #2 pick in the draft, and it would be madness to lose it. There’s still what…6 games left? It’ll be tough to hold onto the #2 pick regardless.

I'll take Tim Boyle for $600, Alex. ;-p
Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".

I was annoyed that Love actually looked in command of their offense last week. Guessing Fields takes another week off and this one is ugly.

I never do these pick 'ems because I don't trust myself not to be a goofball about them.
But I do have something to say about this week's game.
No matter what the final score, this is a perfect time to revisit an old tradition.

So much road and so few places, so much friendliness and so little intimacy, so much flavour and so little taste.

Whoops! I usually double-check to make sure my score is unique, but missed it this week. Updated now anyway to reflect the injury statuses of both teams.Bears Whiskey Nut wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 7:42 amLacertineForest wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 1:41 pm Bears 17

With Fields playing, I'll say
Bears 17
Pukers 9
Bears 17
Pukers 9

Riley Reiff is the honorary captain this week. Not sure what he's been able to do to earn that honour after getting injured early in the last game and only being able to practice fully for the first time today.
Bakhtiari out
Packers offensive tackle David Bakhtiari had his appendix removed Friday and will miss Sunday’s game. Bakhtiari tweeted that he woke up Friday thinking he’d strained his abdomen, mentioned it to his team doctor and soon found himself in surgery.

I'm revising my prediction now that it looks like JF is starting:
Pukers: 31
Bears: 28
While the Bears should pass for about 60 times per game to give JF more experience, I believe they're going to run the ball more as the Pack is very weak against it. I can see JF hitting 150 yards again.
