That's doubly crazy
1) That he knocked himself out for the season in warmups
2) That he played through a full game first

That's doubly crazy
Or it means it will keep cropping up for the remainder of his career.WagonForce wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 4:42 pm Looks like Eddie Jackson's injury will not require surgery:https://bearswire.usatoday.com/2022/12/ ... 22-season/
I've never heard of a 'stable' Lisfranc injury before but if it means EJax is able to heal up fully by training camp and not have to go under the knife I'm all for it. Some good news for a Bears team that has a tough run with injuries lately.
Herbert to return
The Bears plan on getting running back Khalil Herbert back next week, the first time he’s eligible to come off injured reserve.
Herbert went on IR with a hip injury Nov. 13 and, by league rule, has to miss four games before returning. That puts him on pace to return to practice Dec. 20 and play Dec. 24 against the Bills.
...
Eberflus said that Herbert has returned to maximum speed during workouts. The height of his jumps and power in his legs “look good,” he said.

Bears QB Justin Fields is sick, not practicing Wednesday
Bears quarterback Justin Fields has an illness and will not practice Wednesday, head coach Matt Eberflus said.
The coach expects Fields to play Sunday against the Eagles. He called Fields “day-to-day” but said the quarterback has been “feeling better every single day.”
Fields spent Wednesday inside Halas Hall going through the team’s game plan.
“He is in the building so he’s engaged and he’s, obviously, working through all of the plays,” Eberflus said. “We’ve got the number of plays we always have — runs and passes that we have on first and second down, all the different things we do. He’s engaged there, learning those as we go. And he’ll be fine.”

and now the not so good...Bears QB Justin Fields ‘perfectly fine’ after illness as he prepares to face Eagles
Never fear, Justin Fields is back. And that makes the game against the Eagles worth watching.
...
The games themselves don’t mean anything in the standings for the 3-10 Bears, but every snap Fields takes is an exhilarating peek into their future. He missed practice Wednesday with an unspecified illness, leaving Nathan Peterman to run the offense, but returned Thursday and said he felt “perfectly fine” with no lingering effects from fighting what he described as cold-like symptoms for a couple of days.

and the rest...Bears WR Chase Claypool out vs. Eagles
Wide receiver Chase Claypool won’t play against the Eagles on Sunday because of a knee injury he suffered against the Packers in the Bears’ last game Dec. 4.
Claypool, acquired Nov. 1 in a trade with the Steelers, initially hurt the knee on a reception in the second quarter, fumbling and losing possession on the play. Although the injury looked ominous, he returned after going into the medical tent and finished the game with a brace on his knee.
But after a week off for the bye, Claypool was unable to practice this week.
“He’s just rehabbing it — getting better, not where we need it to be this week,” coach Matt Eberflus said.
Still, Eberflus was confident Claypool would return this season.
“Oh, yeah. For sure,” he said.

Running back David Montgomery (illness), safety Jaquan Brisker (concussion) and cornerback Kyler Gordon (concussion) all participated fully in practice Friday and are expected to play against the Eagles.
Wide receiver N’Keal Harry (back) practiced in full all week but is questionable, in part because of the unpredictable nature of back injuries. But Eberflus said he was hopeful the 6-4, 225-pound Harry could play against the Eagles — a key factor with the 6-4, 238-pound Claypool out.
Cornerback Kindle Vildor, who missed the last game with an ankle injury, also practiced in full this week but is questionable. Tight end Trevon Wesco (calf) is out. Right tackle Larry Borom (knee) was limited Friday and is doubtful.

Bears RB Khalil Herbert expected to return from hip injury vs. Bills
The Bears’ offense is expecting to get a boost this week with running back Khalil Herbert returning from injured reserve.
...
“He is cleared, ready to go,” coach Matt Eberflus said. “He’s got all the jumps, his speed. He’s been cuttin’, He’s been movin’. He looks great. We’re excited about his return.”
...
Jenkins out of hospital
Starting right guard Teven Jenkins has been released from the hospital after leaving Sunday’s Eberflus did not have any details about Jenkins injury, but did not rule out Jenkins playing again this season. Jenkins has started 10 games this season, including the last eight.
“It’s encouraging with him,” Eberflus said. “He is seeing a couple of specialists just to double-check and cross-check everything. We’ll know more as time goes.”

Bears’ Eddie Jackson: Foot injury should be fine by spring practice
Bears safety Eddie Jackson seems to have avoided the worst.
He left the field Nov. 27 against the Jets with a Lisfranc injury to his left foot. That’s a scary diagnosis — the injury has cost some players their careers — but Jackson learned last week he won’t need surgery.
“That was a great feeling. …” he said. “I’m glad I was able to avoid the needle.”
...
Jackson didn’t think his injury was serious at first — he told trainer Andre Tucker to give him an injection and let him return. He learned just how serious a Lisfranc injury could be when he went to the locker room and tried to stand on his toes. He couldn’t.
A Lisfranc injury occurs when a player suffers damage to bone and ligaments in his or her midfoot. Jackson said he only had small damage.
Jackson, whose left foot remains immobilized, is due for an MRI on Dec. 30 or 31. He said he’s not sure when he’ll be back to normal. He’s taking his recovery slow but said the injury shouldn’t keep him from participating in offseason activities this spring.
“(Doctors} said it’s all about my body, how I heal,” he said.

Not that you should take anything from pressers, as has been argued here many times, but Flus said that both Jenkins and Whitehair were day to day.Grizzled wrote: ↑Tue Dec 20, 2022 12:39 pm Whitehair is done for the year, a "significant" knee injury. Jenkins is out of the hospital. There is no word if he will play again this season but Flus is encouraged by the prognosis so far. It is hoped that Claypool and Harry will play. Still no word on Sanborn's ankle and ESB with the concussion protocol. The Bears injury report for the game will come out Tuesday.
The injury report will come out later today for the game on Saturday. Should have the most up-to-date info. Saw "reports" on more than one web site for Jenkins and Whitehair early this a.m. but, obviously, already out of date.wab wrote: ↑Tue Dec 20, 2022 12:51 pmNot that you should take anything from pressers, as has been argued here many times, but Flus said that both Jenkins and Whitehair were day to day.Grizzled wrote: ↑Tue Dec 20, 2022 12:39 pm Whitehair is done for the year, a "significant" knee injury.
