Andrei Iosivas, Princeton this is the one that intrigues the hell out of me. I have not seen him play, only read a crap load about him. If he can't tear up these CB in practice at the Senior Bowl I will erase his name. His WR coach thinks he may end up early 2nd or even 1st round pick. We shall see.

Every year we hear about a kid from the Ivy League who is going to rocket up the draft board and it rarely happens. I remember a DT from Princeton, Caraun Reid, a few years ago that people were giving early R2 hype and he went in the 5th round to the Lions ... and bounced around to about 10 teams over the years and I don't think he ever started a game.EricTighe wrote: ↑Fri Jan 13, 2023 12:32 pm Andrei Iosivas, Princeton this is the one that intrigues the hell out of me. The jump from high-level FCS to the NFL is enormous. From an FCS conference like the Ivy League, basically a step up from like D2 level, it's even bigger than that.wulfy wrote: ↑Fri Jan 13, 2023 3:46 pmEvery year we hear about a kid from the Ivy League who is going to rocket up the draft board and it rarely happens. There's a reason the majority of draft picks come from FBS schools.

Supposedly rhe Bears turned down the chance to coach in the East-West game to have more time to prep for the new season.
[Where are my old Chicago Bears and what have you done with them, Ryan Poles?

Used to say the same thing about kids from Marshall. By the Marcellious WIley came from an Ivy league school and he turned out ok,thunderspirit wrote: ↑Fri Jan 13, 2023 4:36 pmThe jump from high-level FCS to the NFL is enormous. This is why I said I am intrigued to see what he does during the week of practices at the Senior Bowl. Very rarely do you see guys from any level with the numbers this kid is supposedly going to post with that size.

His coach's R1-2 talk is definitely ridiculous hyping. I guess maybe some level of nonsense is necessary to get attention for players at less conspicuous schools.
However, he's 15 on this year's Freaks List and led his conference in receiving yards. Unless his numbers in there are frauds, he is going to be drafted. Probably Day 3, with a slim chance at Day 2.

Oh, I firmly believe he'll be drafted. Most likely on Day 3, yeah.
My post was in response to @wulfy talking about Ivy League hype, that's all.
