How is Unitas ranked higher than Montana?

All due respect to The GOAT, but we are talking about SUPER BOWL QBs right? Not factoring in regular season?

Montana is #1.

He's undefeated at 4-0.

Then Bradshaw is #1a. I just think Montana is the better overall QB and he's My Pick if I needed a QB to win a Super Bowl.

Then Aikman being 3-0 needs to be higher. Top 5.

Dan Marino should be near the bottom.

Rodgers higher than Elway is bullshit.

How (and who in the fuck is) Daryle Lamonica higher than Eli Manning?

This list is bogus.

My Top 5 Would Be:

1) Gardner Fucking Minshew. J/K. Joe Montana
1a / 2) Terry Bradshaw
3) The GOAT
4) Troy Aikman
5) Eli Manning (This makes me ill, but I think that's objectively fair.)

Johnny Unitas called his own plays and the zebras were not nearly so protective of the QB's back then. Also the passing game was not nearly so favored by the modern rules we have today.

Johnny U is right up there with the GOAT in my book.

Bart Star, 2-0 and pretty damn good.Namath was great in the Jets win. Len Dawson was pretty damn good in the Chiefs split with him as QB. Punky was pretty good in angame we're familiar with. This list reads like the NFL all-tine great QBs, not SB greatest.

That was the intent

Below is my annually updated list of Super Bowl starting quarterbacks, which now numbers 66, taking into account Hurts as the Eagles' starter in Super Bowl LVII. It's important to note that with regard to players like Johnny Unitas and Bart Starr, who started Super Bowls but whose peak years came before the Super Bowl era, I considered their entire careers, not just what they did from 1966 onward. I ranked all quarterbacks based on career achievements, with regular-season excellence, All-Pro/Pro Bowl appearances and seasons as top-five and top-10 players at the position carrying more weight than just Super Bowl success. (Spoiler: Jim Plunkett, winner of two Super Bowls, did not have a better career than Marino, who won none.)

Can't rank QBs across the whole history of the league. The game changes too much to make such comparisons valid. Comparing QBs across a decade of league play would be more accurate.

HOF DT or just D line as then.. 6'2" 275 (probably more)..
"Artie was ready for stardom. Big, strong, fast and smart, Donovan was also one of the most popular players in the league. He was an All-NFL selection in 1954 ..."

Interviews by Letterman on how dirty his play (and generally all NFL) was "fun..

He looked more like 5’11 to me, but he was really old so maybe he shrank lol

He told some wild stories - eye gauging, nut punching, etc

One of the great DT's and all around characters in the history of the game.

The secret is to work less as individuals and more as a team. As a coach, I play not my eleven best, but my best eleven.

Oh, he liked to hurt people back when the NFL was way less interesting because black people essentially still weren't allowed to play. gotcha. I guess that's cool.
