Too bad his body is done or he'd be in instant RT candidate.

Robert Woods would be a good fit in our gang of "WR2s and WR3s who can block" absent the chance at a true difference-maker.

Lewan's missed too many games the past 2 years to be a reliable starter. No trade needed for Wood, a vet. But has he fully recovered from his ACL injury?
Drafts are like snowflakes, no two are alike.

I'd still consider bringing in Lewan if the price / contract was right and adequately protected us from his injury history. He is only 31. I'd lean heavily on the training staff and their assessment of his knee. He just had the entire year off, it's possible he can come back strong.
This is not a primary option, but maybe worth a flyer if better options don't come through.

Yeah, Lewan is definitely in the Riley Reiff realm. If FA and the draft don't go as planned, and Lewan is still unsigned, he's the first guy I call.dplank wrote: ↑Thu Feb 23, 2023 10:58 am I'd still consider bringing in Lewan if the price / contract was right and adequately protected us from his injury history. Woods would be a veteran presence for the WR corps but if making a move I hope Poles chooses to aim higher.
I would like to add a vet to help the young guys see how to prepare and mentor in general, but either a solid move TE or a better #1 option (likely only available via trade) would be best.
