Mangini is an idiot.

Fields isn't good enough to keep and build around, but he's good enough for the Panthers to trade the 9th overall pick for him and then, you know, build around him.

Of all the mocks I've read, that is certainly one of them.

Lost a bet that the Bears wouldn't trade #1 overall, so I "pony"'d up. Never been so happy to be so wrong. :D

Is there good money in being a draft pundit? So many fools professing to be one.

Well, if the Bears think Young's chances are better and like the 2 year pushback on the window (which are both conceivable) and the Panthers feel like Fields <--> 9 is a better bet than trading up or Richardson or various other options (not at all unreasonable), then it's not crazy.

I think the 2 year pushback would be great.
But Young (or Levis or Stroud) vs Fields...eh

This would be sticking your neck out in a massive way for something that's really risky and not obviously better.

This is all for clicks and views. So, so many of the mock drafts are the same shit right now, so why not go nuts and do something unrealistic to draw eyeballs?

I would hate this draft so very much...to the point it would test my fandom.

Trading Fields and then drafting Young/Paris Johnson in the first and friggin Calijah Kancey in the 2nd? Gross.

Just gross.

That would really be my last straw with this franchise.

I have taken so much bullshit from those idiots at Halas Hall for 35 years and I'm telling you all right now I'd fucking quit.

I really don't know what I would do. But punting my Bears fandom would be on the table.

Yeah, I think it would take fields flaming out elsewhere and whomever they picked being great to bring me back.

This kind of conjecture is just part of the Game. Actually helps the value of the pick. Smokescreens and Disinformation will rule the day until we are on the clock.

Now the trolling by Jim Irsay today is just downright funny.

If fields is traded we better get multiple firsts and honestly the only guy id want to replace him with is basically the same player so... might as well keep him. However if we could finagle houston out of 2 and 12 id take best DL at 2 and hope Anthony Richardson falls to 12 and here is why!

I am so glad Ryan Poles has put this crap to rest.

Yet people keep thinking we are trading a guy that out GM has stated he goes to for advise on guys. Hmmm Sounds like Fields isn't Poles guy........Stupid be stupid.
