In a ideal world I bet Rodgers wants to make GB drag it out another couple weeks. But NYJ probably can't wait on him to do that.
Seems like it's probably his best option.
I think him dragging it out - would hurt the Jets more than Packers
Packers know who their QB is going to be next year - and it won't be Rodgers.
Granted some cap stuff etc - but thats one afternoon for the accounting department and that plan (either way) should already be complete

If they do get Rogers it makes their QB room more crowded:
Flacco: probably gone in spite of Rogers or not.
Streveler: JAG who would have to prove himself in camp.
Mike White: showed promise but not the guy the Jets think will lead them to the playoffs. He did torch the Bears pretty good with 300 yds and 3 TD's. He could be a good #2 if the price is right though he is a UFA.
Zach Wilson: Their first round pick (#2 in '21) who has shown some maturity problems. One year left on his rookie contract - do they try to trade him or use him as the backup insurance?
Jets have plenty of talent on the team, particularly their D, and play in a score happy division with the Bills and Phins. Do they overpay for Rogers rental? It can really set a team back when their high pick QB is not the answer ... like Mitchy the kid.
We know he won't be a mentor to Wilson, he's been pretty clear on that subject with Jordan (Davis) Love.
That could still be the case with Wilson - but I think there was something of the fact that the Packers used a high draft pick to pick his replacement and hurt his legacy (that's a pick that could have gone to making them more talented around Rodgers) in the process
The Jets kid is no threat and Jets are showing him all the love
Rappaport saying nothing has happened yet but a lot of Jets players tweeting about Rodgers being a part of the team. So who knows...the whole tiresome thing is still being drawn out.
Erin being himself, i.e. a big D. Reading he's still holding up the deal. Too bad the Jets didn't just tell him 'no thanks' after all hus games and signed Jimmy G.
Rodgers probably wants to wait to decide til a time when it will make the most headlines. He doesn't want to share the spotlight with the free agent frenzy. He is a diva after all

Rodgers gets a look at what it is going to be like to compete against JF1 and high-tails it out of the division. Pussy.
I attributed it to him not wanting to be hit by Jack Sanborn, but perhaps we're both right.

I asked for and got a Tevin Jenkins jersey-like T-Shirt for Christmas. That probably explains why we signed Nate Davis.
Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".

Oh, is it that easy? My birthday's coming up, asking my wife to get me a RichH55 snuggie.

The nerves on this guy. As a Bears fan, I want this fucker elsewhere, but if I were a Jets fan I’d say fuck him. Go all out and find a way to snatch Lamar Jackson- although admittedly I have no idea if they could swing this.
