Thinking he meant the 2nd rounder we got for Roquan.

Oh, okay. I guess? I'm sure you're right about that, once I thought about it.

But...it seems a bit bizarre, doesn't it?

Writing word-things and letter stuff is hard for some person.

Yeah, it was and thought we traded a 2nd too? The realized he meant pick #53 from Ravens

They're gonna put Sanborn at MLB, and Morrow on the bench.

Well, to be fair to Poles--you do need three, yes? ;)

No way Sanborn is playing Mike with Edmunds on board. He IS your next Urlacher, defending the middle in the T2. Will might not be a premium to Poles and Flus - but an Url clone is (and that is what Edmunds is).

Edwards will be Will and Sanborn the SAM in the ~ 20% of the time they play with 3 LB. Good role for Sanborn, who can star on ST and come in with a burst when they're not in nickel.

@malk I don't know where you're coming from. Edmunds is a star.

If Edmunds really is Urlacher like, I guess it means they could be playing less nickel... Not sure how that helps on the DL. Maybe they want to go 3-3-5 on passing downs...? Maybe it's just all about not spending in an overheated market and most draft resources will be spent there. :?:

I guess they have to go big in free agency after all the picks they gave away for Russell Wilson and Sean Payton.

> $15 million a year for Allen. I can see why Poles passed.
So much road and so few places, so much friendliness and so little intimacy, so much flavour and so little taste.

Full terms for the #Seahawks and DT Dre'Mont Jones:
-- 3 years, $51.53M
-- $23.5M in Year 1
-- $35.02M over two years.

It's a 3-year, $21.5M deal with $11M guaranteed for the #Falcons and Kaden Elliss.

The #Vikings are signing pass-rusher Marcus Davenport, sources tell me. He gets a 1-year deal worth $13M. Impressive.

The #Broncos and DE Zach Allen have agreed to terms on a 3-year, $45.75M deal including $32.5M guaranteed. He's back with Vance Joseph, his DC in Arizona.

The #Panthers have a deal for center Bradley Bozeman, locking him in for the long-term. He gets 3-years and $18M, source said.

Giants get Bobby Okereke on a 4-year, $40M deal with $22M guaranteed.

Poles has now officially fucked up.

We're certainly not in disaster land...but he's failing at this. When he had the most money of anyone to spend.

There's more FA and a Draft coming where we literally have a Top Ten pick.

Calm.

Where the hell is the money coming from?

Can we expect a partial roster purge from them?

We'll have a chunk of it to spend next year, too, and the year after that...as long as Poles spends wisely. Which it seems to me he's doing.

He's targeting guys < 30 whose best football is ahead of them. Jones is a 280-pound DE with 22 career sacks. If some of us wanted him, Poles also had valid reasons for not wanting to shell out more than $17 million a year for the guy.

By the timing of the tweets my guess is they were talking about how scary the D will be with our new LB's

The most FA cash to spend--he should have locked down DT, even if it was a short term thing.

Explain just how he's "doing a fine job of kit"?

We're talking a plethora of mistakes, here.
