Ok, I dont know how much cap space we have left after our big signing of Homer.....But, where would some of you like to go from here?
Jones, Rankins, Ngakoue, Ford, S. Griffin, Clowney, Ya-Sin, Key, Seumalo, F. Clark, G. Gaines, A. Robinson (DT), Tyler Huntley (RFA), J. Williams, T. Lewan, Murphy-Bunting?
What you got and who you want? (Ekeler trade?)
Seems Day 2 is over.....where do you want to go from here?

DL, DL, OL and RB please.
Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".

Robinson would be a really good move IMO. Great run defender and sorely needed.

Still some nice names out there, OB Jr. and Fletcher Cox would be nice adds, however, there are still some under the radar guys I like:
Khalen Saunders, DT- good run defender but has some rush in him.
Dawaune Smoot, DE- good rotational guy to help out the rush.
Evan Brown, OC/OG- played very well for the Lions and I like him at OC.
Hayden Hurst, TE- good reliable all around TE. Great backup.
Some others I wouldn't mind getting:
Frank Clark, DE- he is active and causes QB issues.
Donovan Smith, OT- not a great year last year but would benefit moving to RT.
Still time for Poles to add talent. Would love to see the Orlando Brown Jr and Fletcher Cox signing today though.

At this point I'm thinking Clowney on a one year $ 12 M deal might be the right call for this team. That or a 1-2 year deal for Ngakoue at around the same yearly price.

Rankins and Robinson are almost the only guys available that I'm actively interested in.
I'd like them to have bodies at a couple of defensive positions because even when we add rookies we still need competent rotational guys.
If they consider Walker a 3T then we need an EDGE. Anthony Nelson and Carl Nassib are serviceable.
There are a few fringe-starter CBs that should be looking at $6m contracts and I'd like to add one of them before that market dries up. The Sean Murphy-Bunting and Troy Hills of the world... just get one please.
As for OT, I'm hoping for someone to shake loose this afternoon when the league year starts. That cupboard is bare

I forgot about Rock Ya Sin. He'd obv be perfect but various people projected him at $10m+ which is not in line with his talent IMO. Hopefully the market is reasonable and he chooses to join Flus again

This is a very deep draft for TEs. The guy I like is Zach Kuntz from Old Dominion. 6'7" with 4.55 speed.HurricaneBear wrote: ↑Wed Mar 15, 2023 10:25 amI'm hoping for a TE. I'm fairly certain that would cause alot of anger. Lets make it happen Poles! Let the world burn!

Alot of TEs I like in FA and the draft this year. I honestly would like another one to pair with kmet. I wouldnt be upset with a FA and a draft pick, and Kuntz is one of the prospects I like too.Yogi da Bear wrote: ↑Wed Mar 15, 2023 11:32 amThis is a very deep draft for TEs. The TE that the Bears have met with was the kid that was the Senior Bowl standout (Parham maybe). I read somewhere that the Bears have actually met with him twice

Just put TE on the list of guys to be drafted along with OT, C, 3T, DT, DE, CB, RB, did I forget any position group?HurricaneBear wrote: ↑Wed Mar 15, 2023 11:36 amAlot of TEs I like in FA and the draft this year. Guys I'd like to see that I think Poles might go after would be Yannick Ngakoue, AShawn Robinson and Rock Ya Sin (although some posted he might be getting $10M per which seem out of wack to me and Poles would never pay).
I like to see us get an upgrade at RB, but if they weren't willing to pay Monty $6M per, I don't think we are getting a FA RB they plan on going into the season as RB1.

Well, if he does all that Ark I'm right back on the Poles GOAT train! I'm in it for the Bears and the results, not the personalities or defending "board positions" here.Arkansasbear wrote: ↑Wed Mar 15, 2023 1:35 pm Guys I'd like to see that I think Poles might go after would be Yannick Ngakoue, AShawn Robinson and Rock Ya Sin (although some posted he might be getting $10M per which seem out of wack to me and Poles would never pay).

It's a very good draft for TE - so maybe thats it
I also wonder how much they think Chase Claypool can just be a supercharged version of a move TE - and do some of the things that you'd want a TE other than Kmet to do?
