Bud Grant, former coach of the Minnesota Vikings, passed away at the age of 95. Grant took the Vikings and their their ferocious Purple People Eaters defense to four Super Bowls in eight years and lost all of them. Which, as a Bears fan, was hilarious and heart warming. RIP to one of the greatest to ever coach an NFL team.

Bud and Marv Levy are the only 2 guys to coach teams to championships in the CFL and the NFL. Although both have the dubious distinction of losing the Super Bowl 4 times.

I read this and was a little sad. Though he lived a long and full life. Bud Grant in retirement had yard sales every year at his house and slowly sold off his memorabilia. He did it more to get a chance to talk to football fans about his career and his times as a head coach. I watched video report on this more than once and it made me realize what a real nice guy he was.
R.I.P Coach Grant! Another great one gone.

A new Era begins in the NFC North!
Sadly, it does not involve the Bears....

From what I read, his garage sale was a giant event. Former players would drive 1000 miles to bring things and attend.Shadow wrote: ↑Thu Mar 30, 2023 1:42 pm I read this and was a little sad.
