SCOUTING REPORT:
Kendall Williamson of Snellville, Georgia, exemplifies what it means to be a Student-Athlete, dating back to his success in high school. At Brookwood School, Williamson was ranked among the top 35 Cornerbacks in the nation and simultaneously earned several academic awards. In his time with Stanford, Williamson eclipsed 45 tackles in three of his five years with the Cardinal, including 66 total tackles in 12 games in 2021. Throughout his collegiate career, Williamson registered 1 interception, 14 pass breakups, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovery. Off the field, Williamson was a three-time Pac-12 All-Academic Honor Roll member and winner of Stanford’s Tommy Vardell Award for excellence in both academics and athletics. He graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Department with a degree in Product Design and began working towards a Master’s degree in Sociology.
Strengths: Tough, run-defending safety who is best playing downhill. Instinctive, stays with coverage assignments, and hits hard. Goes after opponents, wraps up tackling, and brings opponents down in the open field. Gives effort and sells out to make plays.
Weaknesses: Does not display an explosive burst to the ball and shows average closing speed despite his 40 time. Late getting to the spot in coverage.
Overall: Williamson possesses the numbers desired at the safety position, yet on film, he’s very straight-line-ish and one-dimensional. He possesses an upside but needs proper coaching and must start making plays in coverage.

Williamson is a decent prospect. Has some speed, was a productive safety in the P12, and was smart enough to graduate from Stanford, where he started 38 games
KFFL refugee.

Seems like a guy who they like size-wise and could maybe pull some of those instincts from HITS and the other DBs to maybe develop into a backup or special teamer of note.

Ah, Mr "Almost" Irrelevant.
He's another with a good RAS score...
Looks like he needs to put on a few pounds in the weight room and really work on his agility to help with that lack of closing speed. With his speed and reported effort and tackling ability he could perhaps develop into a Houston-Carson type who provides value on special teams and as a decent backup on defense.

Smart could serve him well at that position.

Obviously a long shot, but if he's really smart, and coachable, he's got the measurables to succeed. He'll put on another 5-7 lbs with NFL conditioning. Could be a good ST guy and back-up S.

That bio reads like someone fluffing an obituary. 5 years, 1 INT, and he’s smart is the Cliff Notes.
