Everybody knew they were stealing
TCU had weeks to prep and extra practices, so they changed signs
The difference showed

Sounds like everyone in college football is doing it, they just got caught. Kind of like sign stealing in MLB a couple years back.Rusty Trombagent wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 10:23 am god this shit is embarrassing for harbaugh. wild to me there's still bears fans dreaming about him coming here.
Lots of unconfirmed rumors and stories floating on this one.
As far as embarrassing, do you think old Bellicheck was embarrassed when he was winning those super bowls after being caught cheating.

Hard to believe the McKaskey's would welcome him.
There is a GM named Poles
Who has a clear set of goals
He’s rebuilt his team
So Bears’ fans can dream
Of winning some more Super Bowls

This wouldn't change my mind at all about wanting him as my first choice for HC.

Harbaugh will resign, blame those under him while acknowledging he should have know and take the bag from the bears all the way to the bank.
And nobody will ever care again about that story.

Bruce Feldman and Max Olson have a report out this morning. They asked 50 FBS coaches about the seriousness of the allegations and how they view Michigan at this stage. The result was overwhelmingly negative:
Of those coaches, 94 percent say Michigan crossed the line. On a severity scale of 1-5, 78 percent ranked it as 4 or 5.

The story that that's attached to, that they possibly had some Stalions undercover on the CMU sideline, is wild. It's fucking CMU! You do not need to steal their signals, and if you do, jesus christ.Moriarty wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 7:28 amBruce Feldman and Max Olson have a report out this morning. Man, I hate Harbaugh but that quote is extremely funny and dramatic to me. A few more quotes for flavor:Moriarty wrote: ↑Fri Nov 03, 2023 12:13 pmAthletic wrote:Unsurprisingly, Big Ten coaches are quite angry at Michigan for its sign-stealing scheme and, more importantly, at the conference for not issuing punishment yet. "Brian Kelly (stepping over the corpse of a dead student videographer) said this is truly beyond the pale for college football."
"Joe Paterno, speaking from beyond the grave, was quoted as saying that he is not sure if College Football will even survive after such an monstrous scandal."
"Art Briles (staring straight ahead so as to not make eye contact with any of the throngs of sexual assault survivors clamoring for his attention) said also that this is truly college football's darkest moment."
Actually, no, sorry, my bad, those are all within the spirit of the game.

He was on CMU sideline stealing signals of Michigan St. That is who CMU was playing is what I had heard. The CMU headcoach knew nothing about it. The Stalions guy was on the sideline with shades, CMU t shirt and hat. Trying to look incognito.Rusty Trombagent wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 8:38 amThe story that that's attached to, that they possibly had some Stalions undercover on the CMU sideline, is wild. Yeah, I agree, @Rusty Trombagent, that's just hyperbolic horseshit.
Former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer, former Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald, former Michigan State coach Mel Tucker, and of course former Indiana legend Bobby Knight could not be reached for comment on what the spirit of the game entails.
