I hadn't heard anything about this, but GB had their 3 captains go out for the toss and Alexander just decided he would go out there as well and make the call. After all he's from Carolina!?!?!? He made the call and when they won said he wanted the defense out there to start. The only way that happens is if they elect to kick. The officials should have ruled it that way and Carolina would have gotten the ball to start both halves.
So Lafluer has suspended him for the game for conduct detrimental to the team and is starting 2 7th round rookie CBs. Green Bay needs to win to have a real shot at making the playoffs, but he suspending him for the game!?!?!?! GOOD FOR HIM. Sending a message that the team comes first. I don't think many coaches would have done that.
I think back to the 2011 Sugar Bowl and Arkansas vs. Ohio State. Before the game it was discovered that several Ohio State players (including their starting QB) had traded traded autographs for tattoos. Rather than suspend them for the bowl game Jim Tressel suspended them for first few games of the following season when they would be playing St. Pete's School for the Blind and other "power houses." Plus Pryor declared for the supplemental draft and therefore was never sanctioned for his conduct.
I truly applaud him for the move. Not getting caught up in "but we really need to win" and making the correct call.
Maybe is someone had done things like this early in the live of Jameis Rapeston it would have prevented him from doing some of the crap he did.
Packer's suspend Alexander for Sunday's game

Just in time for them to face Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and KJ Osborn. Remind me later to feel bad for them

I just glanced at his rambling, incoherent explanation and thought he was an honorary captain for the game. I didn't realize that idea just came from his scrambled brain, not the coaches.
And then this jackass will probably get more than nearly everybody earns in an entire lifetime to go away and not play for his team anymore.
