The league is exploring buying an equity position in ESPN. This raises questions if the network would be able to remain an unbiased reporter of news about the league:

Why behave yourself ethically if you can just buy off anyone who has a meaningful platform to say anything to the contrary?

I'm with you on this

as soon as ESPN becomes part of the NFL we will be inundated with stories of how the refs are actually great and the replay system is perfect with no need to change
